This hotel features a prime location near the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, characterized by very spacious rooms and a convenient breakfast area, though the surrounding neighborhood can feel uncomfortable or unsafe at night.

Great hotel until one of the young female staff singled out my wife at the breakfast room and told her to sit at the table for five minutes until they opened. There were already people eating. Completely ruined our thoughts of this hotel to employ someone like that. Reported it to front staff. Rest of staff was good, elevators were quick. Convenient location. However we will not be back after that experience. We also checked out a day early for the bad experience.

Service and room size make the Hampton Inn almost worth considering, but location and vibe tip the decision to a solid no, look elsewhere. I’m gonna parrot a lot reviews this location has already garnered. The hotel has very spacious rooms, I gather an unavoidable quirk of turning an older building into an updated hotel. In addition, everyone we dealt with provided great, friendly customer service. Zero service problems. Now the bad. We traveled with a club volleyball team and two team families had to switch rooms. One because her ceiling began to sag with water collection from the room above, and eventually caved in to the bathroom floor. The second because her television and air conditioning quit working. The biggest drawback to this hotel though, the location and dusk till dawn street party of sketchy locals. That end of Carondelet street (closest to Canal) features a lot of drug use, public intoxication, etc. Two nights featured a street side barbecue pit, with twenty or so people drinking and carrying on all night. One mother in our party, traveling alone, was nearly knocked to the ground by a homeless man jumping on her from an alley. Not a nice place to stay in general given the street atmosphere. I made sure I kept a careful eye on the street folks while ushering my family in and out of the hotel.

Very close to Bourbon street & the French Quaters. Beds extremely hard House keeping isn't daily Be careful of their varying cancelation policy Parking is $52 a night Elevator doors close very quickly my niece was bruised by the door shutting on her Angelina was extremely rude and unwilling to help with an issue prior to check in The sink in our room was clogged the entire stay & the counter top was broken. Breakfast free but very basic not many options for vegans or vegetarians so we had to go out for breakfast No free water was given like most Hilton brands Worse experience as a Hilton Honors Diamond member besides the valet attendees and the young man who checked us in Friday afternoon

This was an excellent choice for our New Orleans trip. The location made getting around incredibly easy, with many attractions reachable by foot or a quick transit ride. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast each morning was a nice bonus that helped us start the day right. What truly stood out was the staff—everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed. The combination of convenience, cleanliness, and friendly service made our stay enjoyable from beginning to end. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Hotel is in a great location in a historic building. It's beginning to show its age and wear. Rooms are okay but could definitely use an upgrade. Local franchise owner doesn't seem to care much for Hilton Honor members unless you're Diamond: no recognition, no free water, nothing. Hilton's website says regarding the benefits of Silver Members: "Free bottled water - Get two free bottles of water when you arrive (at select hotels)." They charged me $3.50/each for a bottle of water that cost them less than thirty cents. Trust me, this is not a "select hotel". Unlikely that we'll stay here again.

After reading reviews was what made me want to stay here but after my recent stay this weekend I don't know if I would stay again. The date of check in, I received notification the hotel was trying to run a payment when I was told at booking I could pay at the time of check-in. Thank GOD I called back and allowed them to run the card for payment bc like others who was checking in was told the same thing and once they got to the hotel their rooms was cancelled. The staffed was confused and did not have a clue how to handle the situation. Second, staff was not friendly or helpful. We were told at check-in, rooms are cleaned every other day. We check-in on Friday and our room was never cleaned, even after we called the first desk after 5PM on Sunday requesting our room to be cleaned. Eventually I called and asked if we could get some clean towels and was able to get that. Our heat stopped working, we called for someone to come up and fix that and that didn't happen. We figured it out on our own but not before my friend got sick. In closing the location was amazing but I just wasn't impressed with the hotel itself. I am a Marriott fan by heart but decided to give the Hampton Inn a try and should have went with my first mind. I hope this helps other and don't be fool by website pictures and other reviews.

The room size is great. The staff when we checked in was friendly. Good coffee and breakfast spread. Good hotel gym. I booked directly with Hilton but it feels like I got deceived and booked with an indirect booking company. My room was nothing like the pictures. The door doesn’t close properly unless you slam it a few times and loudly. The bath tub doesn’t drain properly. The in room safe doesn’t work bc it’s low on battery. Some of the outlets in the room don’t work. There are stains on the windows. The carpet is sticky. The drawers are all dirty inside. The location at night is not safe to walk around alone never mind with young kids. Overall it was just very disappointing. We have stayed with the Hampton Inn in many other cities and this was just disappointing.

5 Stars but not perfect Every channel on the TV says that information about the program is unavailable. The remote is slow to switch so when switching to the next channel it's easy to overshoot If there's a commercial on, oh well, you can't tell what's on there. (boo) The heat turns on once in a while for five seconds and rund very quietly (yay!). But prior to the heat turning on there's an audible click followed by a loud sound of putting a metal lid on a metal pot (boo). Scrambled eggs on Monday's breakfast were the best I've had in about 30 hotels these past 40 days. Moist and warm (yay!) but on Wednesday, it was easy over eggs, I think, and they were inedible (boo) Location is wonderful (yay) but the line of men hanging around at night in the dark on the sidewalk near the hotel are sketch. That's the direction to take when walking to/from Bourbon St. (boo) Bourbon Street is only a two block walk away (yay). My room has a view of the back of two buildings with what looks like huge ventilation openings (boo). But the room is very quiet (yay). Service and valet are excellent. (Hurray!)

The hotel is good, clean and well located on the city. Service could be improved. I requested early in the morning to do the room housekeeping for that day and refilling the lotion and shampoo cans. The receptionist informed me that usually they take the housekeeping orders placed one day in advance, but he told me that he could get my order for that same date. When I arrived to the hotel in the night of that day, neither the room housekeeping was done nor the refilling of the lotion and shampoo. I had yo call receptionist on the night to get at least the lotion and the shampoo. Considering the price paid for the room, the service must be given more diligently. The hotel is not bad, but the service must be improved.

last night and I had the absolute pleasure of being checked in by Antonio, From the moment I arrived, he was warm, polite, and incredibly welcoming. After a long day of travel, his kindness and professionalism truly made all the difference. Antonio went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. He greeted me with genuine hospitality, offered helpful local tips, and made check-in quick and seamless. It’s rare these days to meet someone who so clearly loves what they do and takes pride in providing exceptional service — but Antonio absolutely does. Thanks to him, my stay started on such a positive note. If every hotel had a manager like Antonio, travel would always feel this easy and enjoyable. I can’t say enough good things — he’s a true asset to the Hampton Inn French Quarter team!
