The Windsor Court is a historic luxury landmark in New Orleans consistently praised for its impeccable service and refined atmosphere, often described as superior to competitors. However, recent reviews reveal significant inconsistencies, citing outdated room conditions, maintenance issues like broken bathrooms, and accusations of price-gouging regarding airport transfers.
ery disappointing experience for a hotel that claims to be of this standard. Very little information was provided upon arrival, which is surprising for a property of this level. Our room was delivered with a queen bed instead of the king bed that had been booked. In addition, the toilet was clogged and it took quite some time before the issue was finally resolved. To make matters worse, the concierge initially quoted $60 in the morning for the transfer to the airport, but this price was suddenly increased to $75 at the time of departure. Such practices are not acceptable in a hotel of this category. Overall, the succession of these issues significantly affected the quality of our stay. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.*****
????? We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Windsor Court Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, and they were incredibly kind in accommodating an early check in for us, which made a huge difference while traveling with our baby. We were also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade and a confirmed 4 PM late checkout, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and luxurious. The food was truly excellent, every meal was fresh and beautifully presented. The decor throughout the hotel is stunning. The entrance flowers were gorgeous and made such a grand first impression. The paintings and artwork around the property are really amazing and give the hotel a refined, elegant character. My wife especially loved the ambiance and attention to detail. The service was very courteous and thoughtful at every step. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Our baby had a great time, and we appreciated how comfortable and smooth everything felt. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend Windsor Court. We are already looking forward to coming back.
We came this afternoon for my Mother- In-Law’s 80th Birthday. We were a party of 8 people. The service was sub par- at best. I’m a server and bartender, and work in the quarter. I get that it’s an easy gratuity for the server. But the restaurant only had 3 tables other than our table. There was no reason for our server to forget to bring cream for coffee 3 times- and 3 different people at our table asked for it. Also: take a shower or at least fix your hair. It’s supposed to be a lovely afternoon tea service- not a diner. We were treated as we were at a diner, not having tea in a lovely environment. I don’t care that there were parades today. We came early, still didn’t get seated until 12:15 (our entire party was there). And yes- she got her auto gratuity for literally doing the bare minimum. Not even a smile. I will certainly not recommend the Windsor Court to anyone.
This place is so nice. I am ruined for my usual Marriott hotels. We had a huge suite and it cost more than the Marriott but it was so nice. And the service and decor are outstanding. Also a fantastic location.
We checked in December 24-26, 2025 for a Christmas getaway. We booked a king suite and the room was lovely. Upon arriving the staff was friendly and accommodating. When we realized the bed sheets had a rip in the fitted sheet we called for a change of sheets with house keeping. We left the room for 3 hours allowing time for housekeeping to come up. When we returned, housekeeping never came to address the sheets. I had to call two more times for someone to come. Later that night, we had ordered room service. The food arrived, it was noticed that the club sandwich was missing the meat. When we addressed our concerns and dissatisfaction to the front desk, a reluctant apology was giving with no concern for our satisfaction. Not even an attempt to accommodate. We know it was the holidays and staff was probably limited but we expected more out of Windsor Court. Very disappointing.
Our first stay at the Windsor Court was absolutely spectacular, and it definitely won't be our last. The hotel exudes an incredible old-world sophistication, showcased through its stunning artwork and the true elegance of Le Salon tea room. The location is perfect—situated directly across the street from Caesars New Orleans casino and just one block from the French Quarter. Our accommodations were equally impressive; the room was huge, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and a private balcony overlooking the street. A major highlight was breakfast at The Grill Room, where I highly recommend ordering the croissant Benedict. We also want to give a special shout-out to Ross at valet; he was professional, welcoming, and the perfect representation of the hotel’s high service standards. For future guests, I would recommend requesting a room on one of the higher floors to help with the street noise. We can't wait to come back
Staff and service were EXCEPTIONAL!! From the coffee barista, to the room service staff, to the valets … everyone was kind and helpful. The spa was wonderful, we visited multiple days. Room service was delicious and perfectly on time. Their beignets were top notch!! ? The restaurant had great food. Kenneth provided excellent service and fun. Will visit again!!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! From the courtyard/drive up to the restroom, every detail was carefully thought through! I visited here to meet some friends and family to have a bite and drinks at the Polo Club. There was live band playing music, lively/friendly people, and the food was pretty good. The wait staff was attentive and service was pretty quick to say we ordered 5 burgers, a veggie wrap, and 6 orders of fries! I did not spend the night here, but if the rooms look as good as their general restroom, I know I would be floored!
It’s truly amazing after my stay at Windsor Court New Orleans for our anniversary room #1507. At $650 per night We expected a 5 star room, however, this is not what we experienced. The room is very out dated with dirty carpet, crud coming out of the AC vents, base boards and trim with scratches and not maintained properly. We felt that the linens were good. I received a call from housekeeping to which I explained to the lady the linen service is not the problem. She said she would pass my complaint to the proper management . As of 11/09 25 I have not heard from anyone . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, IT IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL
This was by far the best hotel experience I've had in New Orleans and likely ever in any city. My room was serviced each morning so spectacularly with such care for my belongings. The food was absolutely incredible and staff were extremely professional and friendly. I helped organize a conference and the banquets staff, chef, rooms coordinator, a/v manager - everyone was truly amazing. Our needs were address immediately and we were blown away. The location is perfect. Pool is small but very nice. Decor and furnishings are gorgeous. I highly recommend this hotel.
