The Hyatt Regency New Orleans is a large and historic hotel in a prime location near the Superdome and Riverwalk, offering a variety of amenities including restaurants, a pool, and ballrooms. Recent reviews highlight both positive experiences – particularly regarding location, service, and views – and significant concerns about outdated facilities, confusing layouts, and inconsistent room quality.

Why does your in room advertising show guests using horses as living painting canvases? That’s encouraging inappropriate behavior toward live animals. Won’t be staying at a Hyatt ever again! Do Better ! Very disappointing to see that flash across the tv screen. Also, consider updating your dated mobile device speaker systems. They’re about 15 years past their usefulness.

This property is nicely located beside the Caeser's Superdome and the Smoothie King Centre, and walking distance to the River Walk. The public spaces were ornate, vast and clean. However, the block of rooms we had for a conference were in a part of the hotel that really showed its age. The hallways were not clean and looked worn. It was a fair walk from the front lobby to the tower with the rooms, so for people with mobility issues, this may a problem.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King center. The hotel has 3 restaurants and a Starbucks, an outdoor pool with bar, a fitness room, and several ball rooms. The staff is amazingly courteous and Hillary is an excellent source of information of where to go when in NOLA. I definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Bourbon or Canal Street during your stay. Both are just a short walk away.

The Hyatt Regency in New Orleans is a great place to stay. The hotel offers excellence the moment to step inside. The staff are on top of there hospitality profession. The from the lobby, restaurants, conferences facilities to your room reflects excellence. They offer a lovely buffet restaurant on the 3rd floor where the staff are amazing. The breakfast offers a wide selection along with some comfort options. I highly recommend. While in NOLA I enjoyed the sites and was very pleased with my stay at the Hyatt Regency

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Hyatt Regency Sunday-Wednesday of Mardi Gras. We arrived fairly early because of our flight time, and they generously allowed us access to the gym to kill some time while we waited for our room to be ready. Within about half an hour or so, it was ready! The check-in staff was exceptional - thank you! The hotel itself is huge & takes a little getting used to navigating and figuring out the elevators, but it wasn't a problem. It was quiet, which was a very pleasant surprise considering all the craziness going on the whole time we were there. The gym is really nice! I used it daily, and it wasn't busy at all during our stay. Lots of cardio machines, free weights, a cable machine, and a few weight machines as well. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a view of the Super Dome and even could watch some of the parades on Mardi Gras. I will admit the bathroom looked a bit dated (just kinda by the coloring and style of the wallpaper, I guess?) & the positioning of the door made it a tad awkward to manuever in there. The water pressure was kinda weak too, but it got the job done, so no real complaint there. We didn't eat at the hotel but they have lots of options and what I saw of the breakfast buffet, it looked great. The hotel is in an excellent location too, so we walked to breakfast and dinner easily each day, and there's a Rouse's grocery store nearby that we definitely took advantage of. Highly recommend this hotel while staying in New Orleans!

Great location, close to French Quarter and right next to the Stadium. Beautifully architected. It has a Frank Lloyd Wright feel to it. It's elegant and massive. I was just visiting a friend who was staying there so I can't comment on the service but the food displayed on the digital menu looked delicious.

First of all there is no such thing as digital checkin like the app states. I prefer skipping the counter and using digital keys. The design of the place was like walking through an airport to get to your room and the elevators are a disaster after having to take 2 flights of escalators. The rooms were small and our dated. No vents in the bathrooms. The mattresses will kill your back, they are as hard as a brick. Omg me and my guest could not sleep. The towels in the bathroom were even hard. Back to the bed, you can feel the springs digital into your back with a hard bottom as if you were laying on a bed of rocks on the ground. Valet attendants were very nice and gentlemen. I will definitely have to get a message tomorrow to relieve this pain.

We booked this hotel for a quick overnight stay during our drive from Orlando to Houston, hoping for a relaxing stop before finishing the long trip home. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. Check-in was very slow, and we were charged an additional $29 destination fee per room, in addition to the deposit (which was expected). The destination fee was not disclosed beforehand, and it was unclear what it even covered. We booked two rooms. Later, we learned the fee included “complimentary” drinks and a restaurant credit—but both were extremely limited and difficult to use. The complimentary drinks were restricted to beer or wine only, and when we attempted to use the $15 restaurant credit, no one answered the phone despite calling repeatedly for about 30 minutes. The layout of the hotel is highly inconvenient. Guest rooms are far from both the lobby and parking, requiring the use of multiple elevators and/or escalators just to get to and from the room. After a long day of driving—and especially while traveling with young children—this added to the overall frustration and exhaustion. When we entered our second room, the bathtub was filthy, with visible dirt and hair. I immediately called the front desk and requested that the shower be cleaned. After waiting over an hour, no one arrived, so I called again. Another 30 minutes passed, and I eventually had to walk to the lobby—which, due to the layout of the hotel, is not close to the rooms at all. Housekeeping arrived about 10 minutes later, but instead of cleaning the shower, the staff member began making the beds. There was a clear language barrier, and she had to call two different people to translate. After the first translation, we explained that we only needed the shower cleaned. Despite that, she continued making the beds, which left us confused and concerned about whether the sheets had even been changed. After the second translation, we again explained that we just needed the shower cleaned. She went into the bathroom but only sprayed the tub—no water was run, and the hair remained. I ultimately had to clean the bathtub myself. While doing so, I noticed additional hair around the toilet and trash under a chair that clearly did not belong to us. After driving over 10 hours, I was exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. By this point, we had already been checked in for more than two hours, and with a two-year-old and a five-year-old, I did not have the energy to continue waiting or arguing for basic cleanliness. To make matters worse, parking was expensive, room service was completely unreachable, and the air conditioner in the second room barely worked, leaving us hot and uncomfortable for most of the night. I am not typically someone who complains, and I am usually very understanding, but this stay was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing overall. While riding the elevator, another guest actually stopped me to share her experience—she stated she had to switch rooms twice due to unclean conditions, and one of the rooms smelled like “a pack of Newports.” This was our first time staying at a Hyatt, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. We usually stay with Hilton, Marriott, or Westin, and rarely experience issues like this. We will be sticking with those brands moving forward.

Awesome experience as it was my first NFL game. Walking distance from the superdome and the internal resturant was very good. Breakfast was pricey but excellent as it was buffet style but many items were made to order! The views from the 22nd floor were jaw-dropping!

Sheets were clean, towels were fresh and staff was friendly and informative. There is a starbucks on the 2nd floor and 3 restaurants in the building. The parking garage is attached and can self park. Chick flia next door and Dave n busters. Stayed here 3 times and each time the service and quality was outstanding. Would stay again.
