This past weekend. The pros: room was spacious and it was a decent location The cons: couch was terrible in the room and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever been in at a hotel. One lamp didn’t work on the side of the bed, and the usb ports didn’t work either. Parking was either $50 valet or $40 with their affiliates.( I recommend finding your own. We found one for $25 a night that was a 10 min walk to hotel.)Went to front desk to get a Gatorade after all the walking and a 20 oz Gatorade was $5 and price wasn’t known till after paying. Also waited for like 5 mins for a front desk person. There were also groups of people that would just sit outside the hotel all day. The next morning our hot water stopped working. The tv was a smart tv but you can’t use any of the “smart” apps or screen casting. Just regular channels. Eventually got fed up and decided to leave early. Went to complain at the front desk, and the worker there said one moment. He left for a bit then when he returned he just asked about complaints which I gave, and after he said you’re all checked out. With no explanation of how this will be handled, or if I could be comped for anything since I was leaving early. I also still had the room keys and had to ask him if he needed them back and he said “oh yes” ,and then I stared waiting for information regarding everything not working, and leaving early. He said after a moment “what else do you want” to which I responded “what about being comped”, and he said they should contact you, and that it wasn’t handled on site at the hotel. Flash forward. Got in contact with someone, and was given a number to call. The number belonged to the front desk of the HOTEL. Even though they couldn’t handle situation when I was complaining. I was then offered points I have yet to receive since I booked through the Wyndham app. Also the bathroom toilet looked like it had poop stains. The ice machine wasn’t working on the 5th floor, but there was note notifying you in the elevator. I wasn’t aware till I got to said ice machine.

Excellent Stay - Highly Recommend I recently stayed at La Quinta and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The check- in process was smooth and welcoming, with staff going out their way to make me feel at home. My room was spotless, well-designed, and had attractions, yet still quiet at night. I especially appreciated the little touches, like fast Wi-Fi, and complimentary breakfast. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

The location of the hotel is very nice for tourists. Anyone who work at front desk were slightly rude and had displeasing customer service skills. The front desk staff had my room waiting for clean towels for two days. Also, the toilet bowls rose up high as it flushes to the point it can touch your hinney (how disgusting). The breakfast food is not the best. However, the sweet sweet lady that puts it out is very lovely and works hard. If you don’t care about the breakfast and just looking for a reasonable price hotel with great location then this is your place.

While the hotel may be great location and price wise, you get what you pay for. Service was 50/50. We stayed for 6 days and some of the days the front desk staff was rude, some other days they were friendly. You can check in and out online, but they don’t warn you online that you’ll be charged a “resort fee”. The pool was closed. There were stains all over our bedding and towels. On one of the beds there was a giant yellow stain that I would think is unacceptable to use for guests. The sink struggled to drain, and some mornings, water started coming up the drain. It overall did not feel very clean and felt very old inside. We were on the 11th floor and WiFi worked badly. There is a location to purchase snacks downstairs but it wasn’t stocked that well. I would recommend a different hotel if you’re staying for a few nights.

I like this hotel with its snazzy, jazzy ambiance with a very decent price for the area. I felt secure and welcomed. Rooms were clean, would have taken a bath if I had the time. Some issues with the A/C but maintenance fixed it while I was out for the day. Wear your slippers because the hotel is older and carpet needs a good shampoo, but the hard floor was good and clean. The staff was very friendly and competent. I was here on business and would come back with my family.

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. The carpet is covered in a gross sticky red substance. You must wear shoes at all times in the room or your socks stick to the floor. The lamp is broken between the beds. There is no remote for our tv. Stained sheets, curtains and carpet upon entering our room is a nasty way to run a hotel. I don’t even think the room was vacuumed between the last guests and us. Do not stay here!

They will charge you $50 plus tax for valet parking and you have to pay no matter what. Because there is none parking space available anywhere. And the valet will have you to wait the longest until they feel like giving you the car. More like longer than half an hour and the hotel is not even with any capacity at all. On top of that, valet guy smoked inside your car without your consent/knowing until you can smell it. Left the cigarette on the floor BURNING the carpet floor and still standing around asking for tips. The facility has broken ice machines and trash left on the hallway overnight and still be staying still. You won’t see janitor working around for any additional amenities. Came into the room with smelly fridge and broken hair dryer. Typical, New Orleans is what really people expect to experience. La Quinta is having this facility represents their business.

For a literal spur of the moment trip and last minute booking after searching for so many hotels in an unfamiliar city, I was able to get a 2 night stay in such a perfect location. We were able to walk all around down town come back to the room and go back out with ease because of the proximity to everything we wanted to explore. The room was great, clean, and price was reasonable especially for our last minute trip. Had to call prior to check in due to an unforeseen delay on our arrival and the Staff was friendly, immediately put me at ease that I wouldn’t lose reservation as we would arrive well before the time that would happen. All other staff encounters were great and just as friendly, breakfast was great and well stocked up even less than 30 min before ending. Parking is paid but in a covered garage if you choose to utilize, but seeing that we didn’t need our vehicle worked perfect. Building security also a big plus, After hours check requires being buzzed in and to access stairs or elevator requires use of room key. Overall fantastic experience and as a Wyndham Rewards member for over 7 years, the best hotel that I have stayed at thus far.

This hotel was really nice for our three night stay in New Orleans. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was just fine, the tv had issues, but this was vacation away from the norm so we didn't really care or make it an issue. The breakfast each day was really good, a lot of options and good. The location is two blocks from Canal Street and about a 10-15 minute walk to most of the pooular attractions. Really an easy walk. IF walking is a big issue for you, look for a hotel more central to the French Quarter. Parking is always a pain anywhere you go in New Orleans, so prepare for that!! It will cost you $30-50 each day of your stay if you drive there. I would definitely recommend the Laquinta based on price for what you get!

Great location and fun atmosphere in the bar area, and friends staff but that's all the positieve things we can day about our stay. The room, and mainly bathroom, felt unclean: stains on the walls and carpet, heavily damages furniture, damages heater, loose tab in the bathtub,... Breakfast was quite sad and very limited. Overall, not worth the price we paid.
