Maison Métier is a stunning boutique hotel with incredible design and exceptional service, consistently praised for its warm hospitality and comfortable, pristine rooms. However, guests should be aware of potential issues regarding inconsistent service standards at the bar, outdated amenities like TV remotes, and strict refund policies that lack flexibility.

I pre-paid a very nice room at this hotel. It was not refundable when I booked. A devastating personal family issue arose and I could not make the reservation. I explained my situation, asked the hotel for any consideration for credit towards a future stay, and was told absolutely not. A contract is a contract. The hotel enforced the contract. That is their right. I choose to be extremely disappointed in their lack of kindness or consideration. I’m sure it is a lovely place, I will not rebook.

This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel and I really enjoyed my stay once we got a broken heater situation fixed. The next morning some of the lights in our room stopped working. Maintenance issues happen, not their fault. The soaking tub is really nice. Large plush towels, but stiff unusable robes. Comfortable bed and pillows. The streetcar goes by at night, but it's not like a screeching train. I found it soothing. There is no in-room coffee, but they do deliver a thermos of coffee to your door at the time of your choosing. Mine didn't get delivered at the set time, but they brought it right up when I called to asked about it 30 minutes later. It's an alcohol forward hotel. We were offered free drinks more than once (while waiting for our room to be ready and then while waiting for the heater to be fixed). We are several years into sobriety so we couldn't accept. Any sort of non-alcoholic option, especially during evening reception would be an amazing addition. I saw what looked like tea out in the afternoon but it was empty. Globalist benefits were honored. We received a room upgrade, late checkout, and breakfast. The breakfast room is gorgeous. The in-house hot sauce was amazing over eggs. Some of my potatoes were still half raw, but I'm positive they would have fixed it if I had asked. I can't overstate how beautiful it was. But we did joke the entire stay about staying next door in the Barnett just so we could have a water refill station. Ha ha. I was just so thirsty and so cold for a several hours but nothing a couple hot soaks in the tub and a space heater they brought up can't fix (:

The location is only a 10mins walk from French Quarter but depending on which direction you go, you can really walk through some sketchy streets to get into FQ. The hotel itself is VERY nice and thoughtfully decorated. The interior design of the place is impressive with historic and mystical theme but yet chic. The only downside of the hotel is its staff. They are a bit too casual, and not punctual in terms of their complimentary services (eg. 10-ish minutes late both in laying out their afternoon tea and 8pm cookies tray). For lost items, they don't follow up like they say they would despite multiple follow ups. When planning our NOLA trip, we decided to go with Maison Metier vs. Four Seasons since MM is a newer hotel but now I wish we stayed at Four Seasons like we often do. If you are looking for a more guest experience focused hotel in NOLA, Maison Metier is probably not for you.

Not a 5 star hotel and not worth the price. I stayed here at the end of December 2025 and it was not a good experience. I booked the hotel because the pictures on the hotel’s booking site showed a bathtub for the room I booked but it turns out that only some rooms have a tub. That is very deceitful marketing. The hotel likes to mention they have evening wine and charcuterie but, when we went down to try it, there were no wine glasses and the charcuterie tray was a 12x6 plate that was already picked over. The next morning we were awoken but a phone call to the room telling us our latte had been delivered. We did not order a latte however so that was an unnecessary early wake up call. When we got back later that day we found that the cleaning staff had taken our dirty towels but did not give us any new towels. I phoned the front desk to ask for some and was told they were on their way. 30 minutes later still no towels so I went down to the lobby to get some. I was told they would bring them to the room instead. 15 minutes after that a hotel staff member unlocks the room door without knocking or announcing themselves. There is not good soundproofing on the windows so you will hear the streetcars and morning trash trucks. This might have been a good property before Hyatt took it over but it isn’t work the money now.

We spent three wonderful nights at Hotel Maison Métier, and it quickly became one of our favorite hotel stays. Perfectly located and full of character, Maison Métier is a fantastic choice for a romantic long-weekend getaway. The hotel feels cozy, intimate, and completely transportive. The public spaces are beautifully decorated, with art and details that make you want to slow down and take it all in. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the start. Our room felt more like a suite and was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. Even with its vintage charm, everything felt modern and easy: great temperature control, strong water pressure, and lovely lighting. We loved the little extras including the honor bar in the lounge, breakfast in the private dining room, morning coffee delivered to our room in insulated tumblers, and the hidden speakeasy tucked behind a secret panel.

The service at this hotel feels warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, yet still professional and respectful of your space. I really appreciated that balance. However, there was one thing I wasn’t happy about: when I did the pre-check-in on the app, it showed that I had been upgraded to a one-bedroom king suite. But when I actually checked in, I was given a premium king room instead, and the front desk never mentioned the downgrade. I think this should have been communicated. The hotel itself is small, but it has everything you would expect, and you can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into the details of the rooms. Everything is well maintained, and the amenities are thoughtful and high quality.

Beautiful hotel but the lobby smells musty which is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. I am very mold sensitive and the manager was accommodating, letting me get out of my reservation except for one night (as i pre-paid) but I had to leave as the lobby made me feel ill. There are plenty of other nicer, must free fancy hotels in the area so I can't really recommend this one.

Maison Métier: A Quiet Sanctuary and Architectural Dream ?Hotel Métier is a true architectural and design masterpiece that simple pictures cannot capture. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported, as if I had entered a beautifully curated, luxury French apartment. The atmosphere is quiet, peaceful, and beyond what I could have possibly imagined. ?I travel constantly for work, staying in traditional hotel after hotel, and the experience at Maison Métier places it instantly in my top three boutique hotels in the U.S. If you appreciate the immersive feel of a genuine boutique, quiet, and thoughtfully designed sanctuary, you will absolutely love this place. I easily got lost in time and truly forgot I had to leave; I felt like the only person in the entire hotel, and the staff treated me as such. The attention to detail, from the room furnishings to the unexpected luxury in the bathrooms, was exceptional. Every single person on staff was impeccable. I will come back again and again. ?The Singular Anomaly at Bar Métier... ?I feel compelled to share the one experience that provided a jarring contrast to the hotel's otherwise incredible service. Upon seeking a seat at Bar Métier (the hotel's speakeasy), the host instructed me to sit at the bar, as it was the only seating available. However, when I approached, the bartender immediately and rudely stated, "You can't sit here!" ?I was honestly taken aback by the abruptness, especially given how calm and welcoming everyone else had been. When I explained that the host had just directed me there, the bartender curtly replied, "Well, I have six drinks to make, so I can't help you." I walked away, but the host thankfully intervened, found me an alternative spot, and ensured the rest of the evening was beautiful. ?The entire stay, from check-in to check-out, was superb, which is why the bartender was such a stark anomaly. Both the server and the host were incredible, and their excellence reinforced the quality of the hotel itself. All in all, I will absolutely back to Maison Métier.

Could not have asked for a better stay. Free wine and charcuterie from 6-8, excellent recommendations from the front desk, every request was met with action immediately. Access to very nice gym and rooftop pool next door. True parisian decor. Really cool guest-only lounge between the hotel and bar. Surprised my sister with a stay here and completely surpassed expectations which were already very high

We are currently staying here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we branched out from our usual stay at The Ace now known as the Barnett. I have been absolutely spoiled rotten here from the second we walked in & this will be our usual getaway when coming to New Orleans! Antone & Byron along with the whole housekeeping staff have been excellent and nothing but accommodating from delivering coffee at 6AM, bringing us a box fan, to bringing me bandaids. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, spotless, & has really good vibes. Would highly recommend.
