The Hilton New Orleans Riverside offers a prime location near the French Quarter and riverfront, delivering comfortable accommodations and easy access to attractions. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and convenient access to transportation, however, recurring issues with unexpected fees, room quality inconsistencies, and security concerns have been noted.
Was a wonderful stay here. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The onsite amenities were very good. Of you are on the upper floors go with the "H" elevator. It is a glass walled elevator with sweeping views of the city as you ride up or down on it. Want to give a special shout out to the Hilton Vacation Getaway team especially Jarred and Brandon for helping me get my next vacation. They are so sweet and wonderful of a team
This hotel is perfectly located if you attend a conference nearby (5min walk). There is a good choice of restaurants around and the French quarter is not too far. I had a renovated/very clean room which was really nice and the view on the river was something. The bathroom is a bit small and taking my daily shower was challenging as the water was running under the glass door. I got to use several towels to prevent flooding ; that was the only negative point, otherwise, it was a nice stay!
Great stay and service! Comfortable beds, and the high level riverside view was beautiful! I loved watching the boats and barges moving through the port. Relaxing. Nice conference rooms, pleasant, helpful, and courteous staff! A bonus was that my work trip overlapped with NOLA Fleet Week!
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Hotel, however we didn't know about the urban tax of $30+ a night on top of our nightly rate until we were charged nightly. Parking for $50 a night is expensive as well- so be warned. The pool that was open was nice and clean, but nothing special. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable! Access to the Riverside mall (and the tall ships) was amazing. Overall, it was a nice stay- just very overpriced with the unexpected charges. If I could, I would honestly rate this a 4.5! Update: I see the general manager responded to my review and in response to his comment: I booked this room directly through their hotel and was still charged the surprise urban fee. Because of this response, I've lowered my initial rating to a 4 as I believe I was obviously overcharged or not properly informed of the "expected" extra charge. I'm a Hilton Honor Member- but there were no perks to being a member while at this hotel.
It was our first time visiting New Orleans, and we chose the Hilton New Orleans Riverside because of its great location and beautiful views. The hotel absolutely did not disappoint. Every team member we interacted with was genuinely welcoming and upbeat, and the overall atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. I especially want to recognize Cody at the front desk for being incredibly kind, informative, and attentive. During check in, Cody took the time to make sure we knew everything the hotel had to offer and helped set us up to fully enjoy our trip to New Orleans. Although we experienced thunderstorms throughout the weekend, the hotel’s connected outlet mall made it easy to enjoy shopping and grab Café du Monde beignets without getting soaked. There’s also a streetcar stop directly in front of the hotel, which was extremely convenient for getting around during the rainy weather. After checking out through text, I noticed an issue with my receipt, and Cora at the front desk resolved it quickly and efficiently. The team at Hilton New Orleans Riverside truly made our stay memorable. Some of the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff we’ve ever encountered. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!! We will definitely be back soon.
Hotel staff was nice and friendly, clean rooms, nice size, comfy bed, and a great location. Everything is within walking distance. If you want to shop or head over to the main attractions Bourbon Street, and the French quarters. I also want to give a shot out to one special employee that went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with all my questions and gave me the best recommendations during my stay, Doy Gildart, we need more people like you in this ?. One of the best customer service experience that I have ever seen and I travel a lot for work and pleasure.
I liked this hotel and location but was very disappointed when I learned there were resort fees. Sooner or later these added on fees are going to cause people to go elsewhere and or not go as much or at all. We do these things because we work hard but this is getting ridiculous. This is not a resort. I’ve stayed on a resort in Florida and the property was gated and had a golf course. There were bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. The parking was too expensive also. I didn’t feel Ike a Hilton Honors member either with all these fees. The front desk person, Cody, was very nice and had good customer service skills. I appreciated him. As for the room it was nice with a nice view of the river. I think I was in the renovated part of the hotel. However, the shower was poorly designed. The one door swings out and the bathroom is already small. Then the knob to turn on the shower is at the other end. You will get your hair wet if you are not ready. Also there is no soap holder in the shower.
Overall impressed with this Hilton. Very nice hotel and rooms. Plenty of elevators that are fast. I loved the location, and the coffee/snack bar has a lot of great, healthy, gluten free options. Really appreciated that aspect.
Had a room with the most amazing river view. Staff were friendly and attentive, service was excellent. In a great area with many restaurants, bars and a huge Caesars Casino nearby. Just a 10-15 minute walk into Buornon Street. Special mention to Cece who asked me. How my stay was going. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
This was the most amazing stay! Plenty of restaurants and loved the pickle ball court. Beautiful rooms. Best experience with Hilton honors representative, Doy. He took his time explaining stuff and was honest. He went through all the offers and didn’t try to get over me. Hilton is so lucky to have such a great worker. Can’t wait to go on my trip!
