Guests overwhelmingly praise the Hyatt House Downtown New Orleans for its exceptional breakfast, spacious and well-equipped kitchenettes, and an excellent location near major attractions and the Superdome. While many highlight the friendly and helpful staff, significant concerns regarding value include an expensive 'insane' daily parking fee and frequent acoustics complaints due to loud room doors.
My husband and I just stayed for 6 nights during this years Mardi Gras and the experience was beyond my expectations. Toriana the evening young lady that works at the front desk was very helpful and professional. She made our super late check in feel simple and not stressful. The breakfast is next level AMAZING! We will absolutely be booking here again!!
My experience at the Hyatt was outstanding. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in, and every interaction was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully prepared. The hotel itself is well-kept, peaceful, and very convenient. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended.
Hyatt House location is great for Cruising its only 1.4 mi away. Rooms are excellent, clean, spacious, comfortable, great views, lots of room amenities. Large rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Convenient for public transportation ie...bus, streetcars, taxi. Full continental breakfast with lots of variety. Even vegan and gluten. Only odd thing about this hotel is when you arrive you have to press a buzzer to be let in then go to the 11th floor for the front desk. There are restaurants located within a few feet of the hotel and it also has a Skywalk going over to the Hyatt Regency. This is where the pool is located. I would highly recommend this hotel. I feel it should have a better star rating than 3 it definately was a 4 star. They do have a small convenience store located next to the check in desk. We stayed before and after our cruise. We were able to check in really early on our return from the port. If you need to they can also hold your luggage before check in. We had to arrange transportation at 3:30am for our return flight. The security guy helped us (two senior women) secure that, and escorted us down. Made me feel very safe there.
Great hospitality and Breakfast was amazing! Special Thanks to Peter, A - Manager who was really supportive and understanding when we had a challenge with our reservation booked from third party. I highly recommend this place to people who are traveling with young kids.
Not sure how this hotel is rated 4.4. The WiFi has not worked all day today. The front desk has nothing to say other than “ it’s not really their problem but engineering’s responsibility and that they’re suffering too!”. Simply unbelievable! Other than that, the rooms are extremely dated, torn carpet, cracked lamp, rusted shower handles etc. There is no kitchenette, just a small microwave and a mini fridge. The parking is $47 a day. Never Again!
Loved my stay. Front desk was helpful and friendly. My room was nice. The breakfast was perfect. The views were exceptional, right by the Cesar Superdome. Only thing I didn't appreciate was the daily fee for parking, but I will be back.
Hotel was modern and nice and room was very large and had a small fridge. Breakfast was amazing with tons of variety and fresh made omelets. Cons: Parking cost is insane. It was much cheaper to use SpotHero or park at a meter. The front desk clerk wasn't super friendly and wouldn't let our family check in without my husband as the reservation was in his name even though we share the same last name and I booked the room for us. The morning desk clerk was very friendly with my daughter and let us check out an hour late.
Hands down the best Hyatt experience ever!!! They had an omelette station for breakfast and we enjoyed delicious, fresh omelettes for breakfast during our stay. Service was also top notch - we were able to get extra towels delivered to our room pretty late in the evening too! The hotel was clean, comfortable and even had a guest laundry room!
The location of the hotel to the Smoothie King Center with the amazing views, delicious breakfast, walkable/safe area, on the heart of everything, clean rooms and comfy beds, staff accommodations from Eloisa and Gabby… this definitely felt like a home away from home!!! I cannot wait to stay here again. I love when the hotel staff and sweet and friendly and give top notch customer service!!! Thank you ladies for making my weekend so memorable!
My mom and I stayed at Hyatt House Downtown New Orleans for four nights and had a wonderful experience! Our room was large, spotless, and very comfortable, with a convenient kitchenette fully stocked with appliances. Breakfast was delicious—especially the made-to-order omelette station—and housekeeping was great. Highly recommend for a comfortable, easy stay! The location was also very convenient and within walking distance of the French Quarter.
