La Galerie French Quarter Hotel consistently receives positive feedback for its excellent location within walking distance of New Orleans' attractions and friendly staff. While some guests appreciate the hotel's charming, historic atmosphere and comfortable rooms with thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, concerns regarding noise levels and occasional maintenance issues have been raised.

Really quaint and enjoyable little hotel centrally located in downtown New Orleans. Everything was conveniently located within walking distance. Love the French inspired decor overall. The carpet in the hallways could be replaced but otherwise fairly clean.

We recently stayed at the La Galerie hotel for a week and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive from the moment we checked in. We really enjoyed our room, it had charm. The location is perfect, walking distance to Cafe Du Monde, Jackson square, all the places we love to visit. We will definitely be coming back! Shout out to the most wonderful staff, Jhoan, Ms. Jeanette, Ryan and Leticia. Everyone was super friendly and gave great recommendations. I miss them all already

One of the best hotels if not the best in New Orleans. The hotel is exceptionally clean, which to me is the most important quality in any hotel. The atmosphere is very quiet and calm. I have already recommended this hotel to almost all of my friends. Marcela at the front desk deserves special recognition she is absolutely awesome, with a charming personality and outstanding customer service. Honestly, everyone on the staff was great and made the stay even more enjoyable. I truly love this hotel and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for bringing such an amazing hotel to this country and for setting such a high standard in hospitality.

This was our first time staying with you — we usually stay at a Marriott when visiting New Orleans — but we were so impressed and will absolutely be back. The location is perfect: close to great shopping and excellent dining options. I especially loved the complimentary Mardi Gras King Cake–flavored coffee and the lemon water — such a thoughtful and welcoming touch. Our room was very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The tall ceilings were lovely, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Every host we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful, which truly made our stay even better. I also loved how easy it was to walk to some of my favorite nearby spots, and being attached to Coterie was a huge plus — the food there is amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We truly enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning.

it was very hard to sleep there was a lot of noise outside i think it was construction that started around 6am on a Saturday??? The rooms also need better air quality it was very hot then very cold all night I could not get comfortable the air also gets musty when u do this. The sun was very bright in my eyes, you need to get some blinds or better curtains. Staff was very kind and held my doordash for me, love them!!!!!!!!

We’ve stayed at La Galerie Hotel many times and always enjoy it. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the French Quarter while still feeling quiet and comfortable. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the hotel has a charming, relaxed feel. A solid choice for repeat visits to New Orleans.

Great experience!!! ?????????? We were able to check in early (11:00am) since our room was available. And we also checked out early (4:15am) to catch our flight home. Everyone & everything in the days between our check in & check out was great! Convenient location, friendly/helpful staff, and daily maid service (which I haven’t had in years). I will definitely recommend La Galerie to any friends or family visiting NOLA.

We will definitely stay here again! Great rooms and location with exceptional customer service! They greatly exceeded my expectations for the price! My family & friends stayed in a very nicely decorated King Suite with really high ceilings, tall windows with street views with a separate sitting/tv room with a very comfortable leather couch that can be folded out into a second bed and two comfortable sitting chairs. The second room was a corner room also very nicely decorated with 2 queen beds and also with high ceilings, tall windows with street views. The third room was same as King suite but faced the inside(no street views). All the rooms had really really comfortable beds and pillows, nice wall mounted tv’s with plenty of channels, a small refrigerator, microwave, safe, robes, hairdryer, etc. The bathrooms were also nice and well stocked with extra towels and everything was very clean! The parking garage is very close by as are places to eat, public transportation and numerous sights of interest.

This hotel is honestly a mixed bag, and whether it works for you really depends on who you are and what you need. The location is excellent. It’s perfectly situated on Decatur Street, right in the middle of the French Quarter. You can easily walk to Canal Street, Bourbon Street, the mall, great live-music bars, and several excellent food spots. One thing I really appreciated is that the hotel sits on a less busy stretch of Decatur, which makes unloading your car surprisingly easy for this area. Parking and overall convenience are big positives. The front desk staff was also very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. That said, the single-occupancy room was extremely small—and I truly mean tiny. I chose this hotel largely based on the bathroom photos and was very disappointed. The toilet is wedged tightly between two walls, and the towels were stored directly above the toilet (a personal pet peeve, though I know some nicer hotels do this too). Unfortunately, the towels themselves felt crunchy and stale. Water pressure was very low, making showering uncomfortable, cramped, and awkward. The entire room felt like a matchstick, with visible water stains on the ceiling and a noticeable odor. The bathroom also did not feel particularly clean. Because of the room layout, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who is plus-sized or has a broader build—there simply isn’t enough space to move comfortably. However, I could see this working for a single, slim traveler who just needs an inexpensive place to sleep for a night and plans to be out most of the time. Honestly, I’d even consider it a better fit for a college student needing affordable, safe access to New Orleans. Speaking of safety, the hotel did feel safe, which matters, and the location and parking convenience do add real value. My view, however, was of literal garbage, which didn’t help the experience. Overall, this hotel may work for the right traveler, but it’s not one I would personally choose again.

Book a room via Airbnb. The price was great included parking for free. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The staff was so friendly and helpful at every point of our stay. The room was nice and clean.
