The Jung Hotel & Residences combines modern luxury with a prime downtown location, making it an excellent base for Jazz Fest travelers seeking comfort and style. With rooftop views, contemporary rooms, and convenient amenities, it offers an elevated stay ideal for leisure, events, or extended visits.
The Jung Hotel offers luxurious, spacious rooms with marble floors and in-room laundry/kitchens, set in a prime location within walking distance of Bourbon Street. However, mixed guest experiences highlight severe inconsistencies in cleanliness and major amenities that are frequently out of service or under-equipped.
This was one of the best hotels by far that we have stayed. This place is set for the real deal. We had a washer and dryer in our room which makes for taking dirty close back home a thing of the past. The rooms are huge and the marble floors, maaaannnnn you just cant get any better. If you plan on staying and dont want to get out they have a small kitchen equipped for cooking a personal meal for yourself of a romantic night, everything is already there. The service it top tier and the bar is amazing. They have a piano player occasionally. Theres an all you can eat breakfast buffet for 20$ per person. Right on canal you can visit and see the French quarter and get right back into you room. I mean I can go on and on about how great this hotel stay was but I'll leave your imagination up to you when you visit! This is A MUST STAY PLACE OF NEW ORLEANS. This will probably be the only place we stay from on anytime we are in the city. Thank you the the Jung Staff and servers and valet and front desk, and everyone from the top to the bottom of the chain here for such an amazing place to stay and everything and everyone being so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed and will be back.
The hotel is very convenient to attractions. The decor and room size are very nice. Amenities are v limited. We had to ask for blankets because we only had sheets on the beds. The lamp and clock did not work, there were no tissues in the box. In terms of cleanliness it was very lacking. The floor was not swept or mopped, the doors are dirty and worst of all, there is mold inside the shower. Sorry, but not staying here again and do not recommend.
The Jung Hotel & Residences is perfectly comfortable and makes a great base if you are in town for work, a convention, or a short practical stay. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped. Marble floors, large beds, plenty of light and all the essentials one would expect from a modern city hotel. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stay itself. However, if you are visiting New Orleans in search of atmosphere and that deep sense of place the city does so well, the Jung feels a little characterless. It is efficient rather than immersive. That said, the staff were genuinely excellent throughout. Friendly, helpful and professional, with Dakota in particular delivering standout service. A solid, reliable stay. Just perhaps not the place if you are hoping to feel the full spirit of New Orleans when you walk through the door.
We booked the hotel on a last minute trip from Thursday-Sunday. The hotel was centrally and walking distance to Bourbon Street and public transportation. The staff were super friendly and very insightful of the city. The rooms are very large and the bathroom was great. A con was the wall were paper thin. We heard all the drunk people getting in at 2am along with every door opening and shutting. There was no phone in the room, so if we needed anything we had to look up the phone number or walk to the phone by the elevator to call. Overall if served our needs.
Overall, a good experience. A very good location for Mardi Gras events. The rooms are clean. Most appliances and electronics functioned properly. We did have an outlet that was not receiving power. Also be aware that the "make up room" buttons aren't used. You have to call for housekeeping prior to 11am. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again in the future.
Dakota and Monique were amazing. Very accommodating. Hotel room was clean staff was very friendly. 10 min walk to bourbon st 5 min to food and drinks not including whats in the lobby. The only inconvenience was in the 4day we were there the restaurant never opened even though the site and lobby says open daily.
The location is within close proximity to tourist interest by streetcar/bus/uber or a quick walk. The size of the rooms are good. My issue was the lack of cleanliness and overal anesthetics of the hotel. It gave broke investor/owner vibes. Hey look, I bought a hotel. Unfortunately, I can't afford cleaning staff, restaurant/food offerings, bar staff, and my rooftop pool looks like a run down community pool on life support. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
Hello, I recently stayed at The Jung Hotel from October 9–14 and wanted to share feedback about my experience. The front desk team was absolutely wonderful helpful and kind but unfortunately, the room itself didn’t meet expectations, especially considering we paid extra for a nicer room with a kitchen. • The kitchen had no cleaning supplies, rags, or cooking utensils. • The coffee machine still had old coffee left from the previous guest and wasn’t cleaned. Only a single pack of decaf was stocked. • The floors were dirty, especially around the corners, and the wallpaper was peeling. • Even though the reservation listed three guests, there were only two sets of towels provided. • The room had a washer, dryer, and dishwasher, but no detergent or soap was supplied. • The A/C wasn’t cooling properly, and we had to call maintenance for assistance. • The pool was very cold, with missing tiles in some areas. • The Daily Grind coffee shop was closed on Sunday. While the staff were great, the overall experience didn’t match the quality we expected for the price.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and rooms clean. However, if you stay during the week before Thursday, there is no food service--- bar is closed, restaurant is closed-- a quick service coffee shop is open from 7 am til 2:00. The staff is coolly friendly, no extra cups in rooms. You are given 2 bottles of water on arrival and if your stay is longer, you buy it. For what they charge per night, this is cheap and miserly. I would never stay here again.
The staff, especially the night staff, FIVE STARS. i believe the woman i kept seeing was brandy but i am not sure. She was a lovely person. This was a 7 day stay, so i used door dash to bring me essentials to keep in my room, such as a case of water and other beverages. There is a small electric stove and mini fridge, but i ate every meal out. the in-house laundry was a nice touch as i was able to do all of my laundry before i left, and that allowed me to return home to unpack. please note, these are high efficient machines so please by the proper detergent from any walgreens or CVS, also within walking distance. i did not add photos because the photos on their site are 100% ACCURATE.
