I booked through booking.com and will never make that mistake again! I booked 2 double queen rooms with a couch bed. Got there and booking.com had us down for 1 king room! The hyatt still accommodated us even though it was a booking.com mistake. I ended up having to pay out of pocket but the hyatt is a very nice place to stay and again it was not by their fault it was a booking.com mistake. Breakfast was outstanding and a lot of it. You have many choices to choose from. Just a heads up you will be charged an extra $50 for parking and bring something to drink because in the lobby we paid $5.50 for 1 20oz. starry drink. Other than this our experience was overall outstanding! Great nice big clean rooms! Staff are all very nice! Best place to stay in New Orleans :)

Our room wouldn't cool down. They sent maintenance and he said the water was off to the AC unit. The room still didn't cool down. We called again the next day. They said we could move to another room but maintenance said that it wouldn't be any better. They offer us a fan. Very disappointed in how this was handled. We paid too much money to have a room so uncomfortable. We asked for compensation to be made. The front desk said there was nothing they could do. Will never stay here again!

Check-in Saturday, Feb 7, 2026 03:00 PM Check-out Sunday, Feb 8, 2026 Checked in and one of two elevators not working. Okay things break and we moved on. Arrived in our room and noticed it was chilly. 62degrees so we turned up the temperature. Arrived back in our room around 6:30pm and room was still cold. Turned the temperature all the way to 90degrees and it went up to 65. Called front desk and told them about the AC fan not shutting off and extra blankets. Maintenance arrived and could not turn the fan off and one blanket. Went down stairs asked for more blankets and if they were sure nothing could be done. Said main maintenance person would not be in until the am. Received 3 more blankets. 62 degrees after 9pm..still very cold and requested 3more blankets. Morning arrived and I asked front desk to please fix before I took my shower. No one ever arrived and we just froze in a 61 degree room. Nothing was offered. To top it off when we were trying to leave since they were down to one elevator we waited for 15min and no elevator came. Had to carry heavy luggage all the way from 8th floor to the first floor. No apologies nothing was offer.but room was charged $305. Never thought a Hyatt hotel would be this way and to not be compensated for freezing all night and no elevator it's very disappointing.

Stayed at Hyatt Place and had a great experience. The room was nice and spacious, and the bathroom was roomy and clean, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location is super convenient, close to the cruise terminal and Canal Street, making it easy to get around. They also offer a continental breakfast, which was a nice plus to start the day. Overall, a comfortable stay and I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Demond, during the day, and Jerome, at night. The front desk at the Hyatt, are awesome. They are always helpful and have a great sense of humor and personalies. i am a dry humor kind of guy, and they picked up on that immediately. It was 11 PM and I wanted another beer. So I went down to see if the front desk could help and Jerome, not only did he help me out with a beer, but he also spent some time to chat with me and I truly enjoyed his company and conversation. There was also a young lady at the front counter, this morning that helped us but I didn't see a name tag, but she had a beautiful smile, and was also very helpful. The breakfast staff is outstanding. They are there for whatever you need, as well as a happy smile and always in a generous mood to help. Speaking of breakfast, the breakfast itself is outstanding. Very delicious and everything is cooked well. I just wish they had waffles. And that's just being nitpicky. ;) I still give it five stars because, overall, it was just a great stay. Good memories and a lot of fun. But, next time... I want to request a little warmer temperature than 30° degrees, please. ?? Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10. Because the bed was so hard. I felt like I was sleeping on a mattress of brick. Update; They have waffles. I don't know if they added them because I asked or if they do that every Sunday but I felt kind of special

My experience at Hyatt Place New Orleans was extremely disappointing. I trusted the valet with my new car, only to later discover that the side mirror had been scratched while in their care. I checked out early around 4:30 AM, so I didn’t notice the damage immediately due to darkness. What stood out even more was the valet attendant rushing away after handing me the keys, despite me trying to tip him—very unusual and unprofessional behavior that now feels suspicious. On top of this, I had booked two rooms and specifically requested they be on the same floor. That request was completely disregarded, and the rooms were placed on separate floors, with staff citing that the booking was made through Expedia. Punishing guests for using a third-party booking platform is unacceptable and not how a Hyatt-branded property should operate. Between the vehicle damage, lack of accountability, and poor handling of a simple room request, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend the valet service here and would think twice before staying again.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel pre cruise. The location is perfect for those taking a cruise as it’s a 5 minute walk to the Norwegian/Royal Caribbean terminal and slightly more to the Carnival terminal. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable with a sitting area in both rooms we’ve had. The breakfast room has several options for a quick bite before starting your day. We will definitely be back and will encourage our customers to stay here when we help them book travel in the area.

Early Christmas gift for my son. Thank you for the comfortable stay. Staff were very nice and helpful. I would recommend everyone to stay there. NO BED BUGS...NO INSECTS. THE BED WAS SUPER COMFY. THE FREE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS ??

I had experienced some terrible service at the Hilton around the corner and decided to try this place instead. It was around 10AM and I needed a room. As you may know, check-in isn't until 3PM. The woman at the front desk was insanely friendly, understood my plight, and after I booked a room, she directed me to the waiting area in the lobby where I was able to charge my phone (down to 6%!!) and relax for a bit. After about thirty to forty-five minutes she called me back over to the desk and said, "I know you booked a single—," and I was like, "Literally whatever you have, I'll take a closet if it's got a shower." And she said, "Great! Here you go!" I thanked her profusely and made my way to the room. When I got upstairs, I couldn't believe it! She hooked me up with a spacious double-bed room complete with high ceilings, a couch AND an ottoman. Haha. It was wonderful. Thank you so much!

I stayed at the Hyatt by the New Orleans Convention Center from 10/28–11/1, and unfortunately the experience ended on a very negative note. After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left my medication in the refrigerator in my room. I contacted the front desk immediately, but they refused to check the room, contact housekeeping, or make any effort to locate it. Instead, I was told to file a report through a third-party website and to “wait and see,” even though this was time-sensitive and important. For a hotel of this level, I expected at least a basic willingness to help or communicate. The lack of concern from the staff was really disappointing, especially given that this involved a necessary medication. I would strongly caution other guests about the customer service here. Once you check out, they don’t seem to care about helping you, even in situations where it really matters.
