This Embassy Suites offers a prime location for sightseeing and boasts exceptionally friendly, personalized guest service. While many guests praise the comfortable rooms and helpful staff, a significant number of recent reviews highlight issues with outdated facilities, a mandatory expensive valet service, and inconsistent housekeeping during busy periods.
Here is a polished Google review you can post: ????? I had an exceptional experience at this Embassy Suites New Orleans thanks to the outstanding customer service from the manager, Marvin, and the front desk agent, Aaron. There was an issue with our reservation through Hotels.com, and understandably I was very frustrated. However, Marvin and Aaron handled the situation with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Marvin was especially great at keeping me calm while working quickly to resolve the problem, and both of them made sure everything was fixed in a timely manner. I have stayed at several Embassy Suites locations, but this one truly stood out because of the excellent customer service. Thank you, Marvin and Aaron, for your professionalism, kindness, and for helping us with a smile. Your dedication to great service made all the difference!
Aaron at the front desk provided excellent service during my stay. He was very friendly, professional, and helpful from the moment I arrived. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and he made sure I had everything I needed. Great customer service and a great first impression of the hotel!
I am a travel advisor and traveled with a group of 50 guests. We stayed at the Embassy for 1 night pre-cruise. Everything was great. The only thing that I can really see room for improvement is the evening reception. The lines were very long and there was only 1 bartender. The snacks were dry snack mix and some chips. I have stayed at other Embassy properties that had hot Hors d'oeuvres and were more plentiful. That being said, I would stay here again, and I still send my clients to this property.
My stay at the Embassy Suites New Orleans during Mardi Gras was amazing. My Bacchus Suite was top tier for sure, it had plenty of space, the balcony had a great few of the parade and the housekeeping staff was awesome. The location was the greatest, it was close to everything, very easy to find. The front desk staff, Marvin, Nicholas and Aaron were phenomenal. They WORKED, and made sure everyone was accommodated on every level and they did it EFFORTLESSLY and efficiently. Thank you guys for making our stay here unforgettable!!!
First off, we got this hotel because we're going on an NCL cruise. We can walk to the port from here. So that's great. The staff have been good too. Didn't need much so not a lot to compare. But if you NEED to sleep, this is not the place. The street noise is insane. The hotel has an old charm, but that comes with loud pipes and thin walls. So you hear everyone around you. This is a great hotel to meet up with friends and party in New Orleans.
Feels old, outdated. The hallways were poorly painted, elevators were all banged up, slow and banged up auto entrance doors, my en suite bathroom had damaged taps, the two piece washroom had NO mirror. Breakfast was gross. I tried it once. Worst hotel Breakfast I ever had. However the staff were helpful and friendly, valet service was great, room was refreshed on time daily except the two bottles of water. They kept missing that. Carpets in hallways looked disgusting. Lots of stains. Luggege carts need to be upgraded as they're all banged up. Good location. Decent price I guess. Very outdated and old. But the beds were comfortable
Editing to add a few star. After posting the review I was contacted by management and eventually offered compensation. The remainder of the stay was better. Marvin and Nick both worked hard to make it right and genuinely were apologetic. I hope that my experience was an unfortunate one off. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is great. That said, the entirety of the property seems understaffed or unprepared for busy holiday and little things add up. We checked in on the Friday after Christmas, to a room with a listed occupancy of 4 and only 3 towels, no big deal. Saturday housekeeping took the dirty towels without leaving more. I requested towels from the front desk on Saturday, which I didn't receive until Sunday afternoon (after having to ask again) . On Saturday and Sunday, the made to order breakfast was so overwhelmed that the line made it completely unusable. On Monday, housekeeping did not restock the toilet paper in the room, and we ran out Tuesday morning forcing us to use the lobby restrooms. Upon returning to our room on Tuesday afternoon we found that housekeeping had just tossed a trash bag with a single roll of toilet paper and a few towels in the room with out bothering to service the room or even empty the trashcans. Even considering all of those things, the Valet has been the worst of the experience. Over the course of the first four nights of my stay the amount of time I've spent either waiting for the valet to bring my car or waiting for a valet to take my keys can be measured in hours with the average to get my car being over a half hour and close to an hour on one occasion making me and my family late to a planned activity. Valet is $49 per day and there is no self park option, so I'm left forced to pay over $300 on my seven night stay for a "service" that is a complete headache. When I complained I was told that the valet is a third party service and they can't offer any compensation, for two days I tried to connect with a manager and left my phone number for them to call me to no avail. As frequent traveler and Diamond Honors member, I've never had a stay where I felt compelled to complain, let alone write a negative review. The experience at this property has been far below brand standard, and the lack of response from management when I asked to be contacted is completely unacceptable. Editing to add that I can now also echo other's complaints about cold showers...perfect.
I had the best check in experience ever in New orleans! . Aaron and Marvin made the experience seemless! Very knowledgeable about the city, and eager to share recommendations with patience and a smile! Great customer service! These guys were the best! Highly recommend this property, well run and being greeted with smiles and great hospitality is definitely a winner!
The Embassy was a very beautiful hotel to stay in. They have complementary breakfast which was very tasty. Be prepared to pay $49 to vallet because there isn't any public parking. The beds were so comfortable to sleep in! I believe all the rooms come with a balcony which I didn't expect so that was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint was the mold at the top of my shower. I feel like If I'm paying to stay in a nice hotel I don't expect to see mold in my shower . I could of tried to call and request another room but we were tired and unpacked and just dealt with it .
Good location close to many things. Room was clean and spacious with a balcony to the street. The street was a bit noisy in the evening but wasn't too terrible. Shower has lots of pressure which was a plus. Staff was all friendly. There is a manager reception in the evening with a happy hour and they serve breakfast made to order or you can choose the buffet. We don't eat breakfast so can't comment of taste. Balcony has view overlooking bridge and WWII Museum
