Located just blocks from the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, this well-maintained Hampton Inn offers a quiet, safe retreat with solid service and a robust breakfast, though some rooms still suffer from thin walls and maintenance issues.

What an incredible stay at Hampton Inn! For starters, my Airbnb host was terrible. My daughter and I arrived in NOLA on Sunday 1/11. We were locked out of our Airbnb room. We had a long day and needed to change clothes. Out Airbnb SUCKED. NEED I SAY THIS AGAIN??? I booked a stay at the Hampton Inn and the front desk staff, William, I believe performed top notch customer service. Inadvertently, I reserved at the wrong location. He was able to assist in having the reservation cancelled and quickly gave us a room to stay. We were in town for 5 days and felt safe, and cared for. The beds could be more comfortable but it’s not a 5 star hotel. I would stay again because of the customer service that we received. Thank you again.

Got to the hotel close to midnight after a day of traveling only to be told parking was full and booked and we’d have to park across the street. Nothing on their website mentions anything about parking lot capacity nor can you book in advance. I tried calling ahead of time to even discuss parking and kept getting placed on hold. Which made sense when I got there because while the person checking in was very kind and nice at times they would stop helping me to help someone else or in one case to pet a dog. Which is sweet but not after being on the road all day with children and checking in at midnight. Once we finally got into our room and settled, we asked for an anti-slip shower mat, after seeing a sign in the bathroom stating there was one, but when requesting one we were told they don’t have those and that the sign was actually just for a floor towel that we should already have. They didn’t bother asking anyone else that was on staff just told us it wasn’t something they offered. If they don’t, they should take the signs out of the bathroom. Additionally the water for showers took a good 10 minutes to get hot our first morning there. Then on our second morning there was no hot water whatsoever and we had to leave without taking showers for a six hour trip home because it was our last day. All we were told was we will send an engineer up, but we were leaving in a couple of hours so it was pointless. Walls are paper, thin and you can hear everything. Only good thing was the location because you were really close to the French Quarter.

We enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Our room was clean and comfortable we had a balcony. The French Market is witin walking distance they have alot of vendors and great items to purchase. Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance as well. The River walk was beautiful in the evening.

This location was great for my stay. I wanted to stay close to Frenchmen and I did just that. This location provided everything I needed. The shower was hot, the AC was fabulously cold. I was one block from Frenchmen which made walking to and from excellent. The hotel was clean. Ms Sonia was very welcoming and very friendly. I will recommend this hotel and will continue staying at this location. NOLA is always great to me and I love visiting from Dallas. I look forward to many more stays here! Hidden Gem! Till next time NOLA xoxo Thank you very much Hampton and Merry Christmas Ms Sonia!!! Keep up the wonderful guest service. You’re killing it!

One block to Frenchmen Street and where live music now lives. 5 minutes to the French Market. And away from Bourbon Street. Rooms are spacious and clean. Typical Hampton breakfast; something for everybody. Clean and well stocked. I do feel that the front desk staff could use a little help/training. Some of them were very transactional and lacking something as simple as a smile. I normally stay in a different boutique type hotel when I come to New Orleans but this time I decided to stay at the Hampton. Got to explore the Marigny. Nice change and definitely will be staying on this side of town, on the edge of the Quarter, in the future. Paladar 511 restaurant around the corner is a must!

There is limited street parking so get your parking pass early. The rooms were clean, house keepers were very nice. Breakfast is standard, nothing special. It is nice to get in some extra protein. The lighting in the bathroom was rude as it showed every chin hair and blemish on my body lol obviously not a legit complaint, it did have me schedule a skincare service when I got home. We had a small balcony with no view but it was nice to have. Our room let in the sunlight and the curtains couldn't keep it out so I woke up earlier than I had wanted. Not a big deal as it was a travel day for us. They have a filter station in the lobby to fill up water bottles. This was a huge treat. It is within walking distance of a few bars and an okay walk to the Spicy Mango. I would stay here again. I stayed with family. I would be comfortable staying alone as a 30something year old woman.

HOT: The location can’t be beat, easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and the market. The gym is genuinely impressive for a mid-range hotel: full rubber flooring, a proper bench, a complete dumbbell set (rare), a cable machine, treadmills, and even a Peloton. Everything in good shape. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s nice having coffee available all day — though it definitely tastes cheaper outside breakfast hours. NOT HOT: The lamps by the bed were broken, which makes the room feel poorly maintained. Elevators were painfully slow, and the bathroom ventilation was almost nonexistent. Also, the gym’s water fountain needs a new filter — the water tastes awful. Bottom line: great location, excellent gym, friendly staff — but the building itself is showing wear. Would stay again if the rate’s good, but it’s due for some maintenance.

FULL REVIEW: Staying Here currently. I have stayed in hotels all around the French quarter.. This place is amazing. Great beds, clean public spaces, No dirty furniture or funny musty smells. This place was opened just a few years ago so everything is very well kept. Management is polite, quick to help and all around on top of everything. Security is great with key cards required for entry in to the building, elevators and rooms. Breakfast and Laundry are free!! Yes thats right free. Breakfast is good with cereal choices, eggs, scrambled of hardboiled, usually a meat choice, yogurt, fruit like ? ? and ? waffles, toast, oatmeal, etc. The gym is top notch with the free weights going all the way to 70lb.!! There is also a pool!! I mean this place has everything you could possibly want at the most reasonable price in the market area. Nestled perfectly between the french quarter and the bywater area its a perfect place. All the common areas are wheel chair accessible. IF YOU GO HERE TELL THEM IA PICKERS SENT YOU!! IF YOU WANT A HOTEL THAT IS VERY AFFORDABLE, VERY CLEAN AND IN AN AREA YOU CAN HAVE YOUR FAMILY FEEL SAFE ALL WHILE GIVING AMAZING PERKS THIS IS THE PLACE!!

We stayed for one night on a Friday night. It was easy to get to and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We parked on property ($40 for ONE night) in the gated lot behind the hotel instead of taking advantage of the limited street parking. We used Uber drivers to get around Friday night and it was very convenient. The room was clean and COLD, which I found amazing. They have shampoo, soap, lotion and hand soap bottles in the shower and by the sink however, the conditioner in the shower was empty. The walls are pretty thin as we could hear the gentleman in the next room snoring. We had breakfast the next morning but they had no breakfast meat other than the sausage in the sausage gravy for the biscuits. We have stayed in a number of hotels in NOLA, including boutiques, and have had horrible experiences but this stay wasn't bad. We will consider staying here again when we come back.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The location is awesome — right next to the French Quarter, which made it easy to get around. The front desk recognized me as a Hilton Honors member, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit, and the gym had everything I needed with lots of space to work out. There’s also a nice outdoor pool. Parking is in the garage behind the hotel and costs $40. The only downside was that one of the beds had stained sheets when we checked in, but housekeeping came right away with clean ones, so it worked out fine. Overall, a nice stay! I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others.
