The Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter offers a prime location in the heart of the action, placing guests steps away from New Orleans' renowned restaurants and bars. While praised for its staff, comfortable rooms, and balcony options, some reviews highlight noise levels, cleanliness concerns, and occasional staffing issues. It's a popular choice for those seeking a lively experience but should be noted that the location can be quite busy.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We opted for a courtyard room for a quieter stay as the streetside is loud. The room was clean and the balcony was a very nice touch; we enjoyed hanging out there in the evening. Pool deck was clean but the water just a little too cold for us but that didn't stop us from enjoying the deck chairs. Our front desk personnel were AMAZING! Please give the incredible Shannon, Larry, Maurice and Kim a raise! They are the epitome of warm customer service and what we can only assume is the true N'awlens culture. Shannon aided me through a very delicate situation and she handled it with such poise, I can't thank her enough!
Had a one night stay at Four Points in New Orleans before flying out the next day. I’ve stayed here 4 times now over the last 2 years and each time I’ve been upgraded by the hotel before the check-in day (not a NUA request) and this time the front desk gave me this coffee cup & note and thanked me for returning. The staff is always stellar, from valet, front desk, door security, bartenders. I really don’t have a single bad thing to say about this hotel but it is in the corner of Bourbon & Toulouse so it is noisy at night. If you’re a light sleeper, pick a courtyard room to better enjoy your stay. We booked a standard king room and received a king suite with balcony over Bourbon St.
My partner and I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Check-in was quick and easy. Absolutely loved the valet attendant Chris. The rooms are really small but workable. We looked around the room before unpacking and noticed a pair of men’s underwear had been left in the corner. We are two women… not sure how they were missed because they were fairly large. So I went down to the front desk to request new linen as it made me feel like the bedsheets were probably not changed if that was still there and visible. The clerk at the desk seemed irritated and bothered as soon as I walked up. When I showed him the photo of what we found he offered to just switch rooms. No apology or care to give but just wanted me out of his face. Second room seemed clean. However we woke up to NO hot water!! Ugh!! We had reservations so showering was not an option. It was also cold outside this day. Anywho…. The boil advisory letter came later in the day which is annoying because we had already brushed our teeth with the sink water. Needless to say, I’m back home sick from the cold shower. This is not to take away from the rest of the staff because everyone else was friendly except there guy at the front desk.
First time staying on Bourbon Street, and I did not enjoy the experience. It's a cute hotel in a good location; however, the rooms could be a lot more updated. From the moment I walked in, I immediately thought "bed bugs." I actually went out and bought new cover. Also, when I paid $300+ for a balcony, for some reason, I didn't think it would be shared for that price. If the balcony is shared, it should be advertised when booking that you would be sharing it with multiple people. I didn't rent from a different hotel because it was listed on their website that the balcony is shared. Not to mention, the room does not come with a microwave. I paid a lot of money for nothing. I would not stay here again and don't recommend it.
This is a good place to stay because it is so Central in the French Quarter. Excellent front desk staff and we had an incredibly delicious breakfast, better than what had on another day at a very highly rated breakfast location in the French quarter. Rooms could use some TLC and the main elevator also was not up to the standards that I think this hotel should maintain. Would recommend over other locations even with some of these cosmetic issues.
Location, location, location! This hotel is right on Bourbon Street and it smack dab in the middle of all the action. All of the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and just amazing. The hotel is just lovely. It is an older building but they seem to have kept it updated. Rooms were slightly smaller but well appointed and clean. They have balcony rooms on Bourbon Street and quieter rooms towards the interior. Make sure you pick the location you want based on the noise level you can tolerate. Our room was on the main street which is somewhat noisy until very late into the night, but it was not overly annoying. The pool area and bar were nice too. The interior courtyard was lovely and quiet. The parking was underground and had valet, so it was convenient. Tons of activities, restaurants, music and energy right out the front steps of the hotel. We would stay here again.
Hotel was beautiful and clean but I wish that would let you know when you are booking that rooms with baloney on bourbon street is extremely load, I new it would be a little noisy but this was beyond that tire is a night club 25 yards away that is so load from 10pm-3am my Bose speaker with sounds to sleep couldn’t even take the sound of the DJ you have to blast your tv to hear it. And the joyed knows because they give you ear buds to sleep with. The music is so loud you can’t even enjoy yourself on the balcony. It’s a shame because this hotel is so beautiful and has been ruined with the ambience of a club across the street. The hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street was great. The club is what Ruins it.
Very unwelcoming experience. Every other hotel in New Orleans has been warm and inviting during the holidays—this one was not. We were stopped immediately, asked for a room key, and treated rudely when we said we were just admiring the decorations. Security and the concierge were aggressive, and we were even told not to come back. If access is restricted, that should be communicated politely. This was disappointing and completely out of step with New Orleans hospitality.
Four Points on Bourbon Street was an incredible experience. The decor is beautiful and the location is unbeatable. You step right out into the heart of Bourbon Street with amazing restaurants, live music, and all the action just a few steps away. But the real showstopper was Andrea at the front desk. She had us laughing from the jump with her sass, wit, and that cute NOLA accent that could brighten anyone’s day. She gave spot-on recommendations for food and entertainment, and made us feel like VIPs the entire time. Friendly, helpful, and full of personality, she turned a great trip into an unforgettable one. If you want comfort, convenience, and staff who bring charm and attitude in the best way, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back!
We just checked out and had a wonderful stay as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Getting to the hotel can be an adventure so make sure to plan ahead especially if arriving late on the weekend as they close streets around the hotel. The valet service was great and they helped navigate us to the hotel as we were stuck in traffic navigating between the closed roads. We had a balcony room on Bourbon street and it did not disappoint! The room was very nice and very detail oriented. Bed and seating was comfortable and we have absolutely zero complaints. Thank you to the staff and Shannon for the help and making our night special.
