While this hotel features an unbeatable location and generally pleasant staff interactions, recent reviews highlight a troubling pattern of maintenance failures and inconsistent service quality across cleanliness and room systems.

The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. I was initially assigned to a room on the 15th floor, but the shower had mold in it. After I called the front desk to report it, I did feel like my room was downgraded when they reassigned me. The next room wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t as spacious as the first one. On the new floor I was moved to, either the ice machine or the vending machine seemed to be leaking because the carpet in that area was wet and it smelled like mildew, which was a little unpleasant when walking through the hallway. Aside from those issues, the hotel is in a really good location. It’s an easy walk to Bourbon Street and other nearby spots, which made getting around very convenient.

Loved this place! Short walk to Bourbon St, Jackson Sq, and Riverwalk! Antoinette checked us in and she was amazing! Very sweet and welcoming! Room was clean and the complimentary cookies were delicious! Highly recommend!

The room was nice and clean, the staff was very hospitable, the location was very good. However, we got very little sleep due to drunken guests being allowed to roam the hallways yelling at the top of their lungs without this being addressed until I called the front desk and asked them to do something about it, at which point they did. Shortly thereafter the drunken guests we're back in the hallways making lots of noise keeping us awake. Granted it is the French quarter and the casino is right across the street and being in New Orleans native I understand that there are going to be lots of guests coming in drunk in the wee hours of the morning. However that's not my problem. That's for management to handle and they need to vet these guests as they come in to the hotel in the wee hours of the morning to see who could potentially be a disruptor. We won't be staying at this hotel again and it's too bad, but the main reason I get a hotel room is to sleep and that's something I did not do staying at this hotel. Get it together guys! By the way the concierge Nicoli was very considerate and personable. Kudos to her!

I checked in 12:30 am ,earlier than reserved and was charged a full day. The front desk barely picks up. I had to go downstairs to get them to come to my room. There was no heat in my room for 1 1/2 days. I requested another blanket, no one ever brought it to me. I had to take the cover off the other bed to stay warm, during the night. The faucet was barely running water in sink and the tub had water filling up around my ankles. The stopper wouldn't stay up. I couldn't use the main dresser draw because the handle was broken. I expected better than this from Hilton Affiliation. As a Hilton Honor guest, this was by far the worst hotel experience .

We had a great stay at the DoubleTree Hotel in New Orleans! The location is perfect close to all of the must-do activities and makes getting around the city incredibly easy. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff truly stood out, especially Will from engineering. Our room wasn’t heating properly, and after one quick call to the front desk, Will was at our door in less than five minutes. He was extremely polite, welcoming, and professional. Not only did he get the heat working right away, but he checked multiple times to make sure everything was running perfectly. We’re now sitting in a warm, cozy room getting ready to take on the New Orleans nightlife. Huge thank you to Will and the entire DoubleTree staff for such great service we would absolutely stay here again!

I just completed my stay at the DoubleTree New Orleans, and unfortunately the standard that once defined this hotel no longer seems to apply. Upon arrival, things started off well. We arrived late, around midnight, and were checked in by Terrance, who was very professional, welcoming, and efficient. However, once we reached our assigned room on the 12th floor, the issues began immediately. The door barely opened and there was standing water all over the floor. We went back downstairs, and Terrance promptly moved us to another room. In the second room, we found dirty towels still hanging in the shower and long black hair in the bathtub. When we reported this, Terrance was apologetic but explained that there was no staff available to clean the room. By this time it was close to 1 a.m., and there were no other rooms available. I requested gloves and cleaned the tub myself just so we could settle in for the night. The next day, when one of our room keys stopped working, my friend went to the front desk to have it rekeyed. What concerned me most was that the staff did not ask for his ID or verify any information—only the room number—before rekeying the key. This raised a serious security concern, as anyone could potentially gain access to a guest’s room. On our final night, the entire power outlet connected to the TV, refrigerator, and safe went out, leaving those amenities unusable. Overall, this stay fell well below the standards I have come to expect from DoubleTree. While Terrance provided excellent customer service, the cleanliness, maintenance, and security issues made this a disappointing experience.

Wife and I were there on 1/3 for one night. Just to walk around the area and do some stupid tourist things. I only have one and only gripe. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. It's 1/6 today and my back is still killing me. I would love to stay there again. But will have to pass due to the bed being hard as a rock. It's too bad because the hotel and the staff are amazing. Location is perfect. It's a clean. Valets are super friendly and fast to get your vehicle. If it weren't for the beds it would be 5 stars

My friend and her family checked in tonight for a few days, and from the moment we pulled up to drop them off, the service was exceptional! Mason at the valet stand was immediately welcoming and friendly and started a conversation right away… and all with a smile! His hospitality and personality immediately put me in a happy mood. When I went inside to say goodbye to my friend, I was greeted by Jasmine and Antoinette at the front desk and again, superb customer service! They were so warm and happy and got my friend checked in seamlessly! I was just amazed at how great these three employees were that it made me want to immediately book a room at this hotel for a staycation! I have never had such a warm greeting, and I was just dropping guests off. Good job Mason, Jasmine and Antoinette! Keep up the phenomenal customer service… it doesn’t go unnoticed! Thank you!!!

The service is horrible i arrived 1 hr early and did a pre check in and still didn’t get checked in on time. The clerk over charged my card because the rates were incorrect on her screen. I sat in the lobby and observed how other guests were treated compared to my experience. She greeted the other guests and asked were they there for the game and would they like a welcome cookie. I not once got asked neither. The door doesn’t work and the energy of the employees didn’t feel welcoming. While sitting in the lobby they not once updated on my room availability and luggage guy was the only one concerned about me and my husband still sitting in the lobby. I usually stay at the Sheraton and I will be going back. I will never and will not suggest this hotel to no one.

My holiday stay was wonderful. Jasmine at the front desk was awesome she was such sweetheart. Will in maintenance was quick and proficient in getting my heater working. There is an older gentleman I can't remember his name who is the bell hop. Oh my goodness he was such a sweetie. I would definitely stay again.
