Guests report mixed experiences at the Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans Warehouse Arts District, with concerns primarily centered around accessibility issues, loud noise from nearby clubs, and inconsistent service. While some reviewers praise the location and friendly staff, others have experienced problems with room quality, amenities, and communication. Recent reviews highlight ongoing renovations and operational difficulties.
I am a wheelchair user and I stayed in one of their accessible rooms for two nights. The room is not accessible at all. There's no way to automatically open the heavy doors so if you are a wheelchair user and you have no help there's no way to get inside. Once you go inside the hallway is too narrow for a wheelchair to fit through or turn in. The only accessible thing I saw Was that the sink had space under it for the wheelchair to fit and the bathtub was short. But there was no way to get to the sink or the bathtub without an abled person's help or standing. That is not accessible. There was also no microwave in the room which I feel like should be in every hotel room. And the sheets felt like crinkle paper. Too stiff and rough. Besides that the employees were absolutely wonderful, they accommodated me anyway that they could, Apologizing for the inaccessibility, And actively tried to make my stay easier. I'm writing this in the hopes that the people who own these buildings can possibly remodel those inaccessible rooms. Having your required accessible rooms not accessible is illegal my friends.
I chose this hotel for it's great proximity to the convention center. The 5 min walk is a plus. The service is worse than average for Courtyard. Rooms serviced only every 3 days, but price remains high. Trash is overflowing and microscopic bar of soap is long gone. But no service. Beds remain unmade. (Note: after complaint, hotel agreed to service the room). No recognition of Titanium status, no bottles of water in the room. If you are in New Orleans and like deafeningly loud clubs you are in luck. Republic NOLA is right across the street. Their music shook the walls and windows until well after 2 am with their laser lights brightening the room. Called the front desk (no help) and called the police twice (no help). If you stay at this hotel, demand a room away from the club.
The best part of the stay this weekend was the first person that worked on Saturday evening. She was very helpful and friendly. The valet stay was very nice and helpful even if you didn't park valet. On the other hand the manager Jasmine and other employees had very nasty attitudes and no customer service communication at all. Its a great location but customer service is important
We were here for a conference - excellent location to convention center. Staff were very nice. Always smiling and saying hello when we were coming and going. Charged us $50 for early checkin. Told me if I signed up for their rewards it would be free. Maybe next time you should try 'hey I know your new to Marriott - we usually charge $50 for early checkin but since the room is ready, we want you to experience our world class hotel and no extra charge.' Our heat/ac didn't work properly. We had to have it set at 90 just get the room so it wasn't freezing, and the fan was extremely loud. Glad we weren't in our room much and we brought earplugs. Hotel 'restaurant' only served a very limited breakfast and the room service menu came for another place. Friday night we must have been near a concert hall or something because you could hear the music and vibrations through the walls and echoing in the courtyard. Just an overall disappointing experience. Glad I didn't get the 'rewards' card.
Visiting from Baltimore. The stay has been amazing. Great space in the room king bed is comfortable & soft. hospitality is great. Front desk help Treva was outstanding. Got locked out the room and she help retrieve keys quickly. 10/10 service.
My partner and I stayed here for two days, and it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Check-in was smooth, and we immediately felt taken care of. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable — we both slept better than we have in weeks. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work because everything felt fresh, clean, and well-organized. What stood out the most was the level of service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and offering assistance when needed. The hotel itself was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for a couple’s retreat. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere after long days out. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would absolutely stay here again. If you’re looking for a clean hotel with comfortable beds and exceptional staff, this is a great choice.
Don at the front desk is a true KING. I cannot say enough incredible things about him!! Truly the best experience thanks to him. He is a gem and deserves everything good in this world!!! This hotel was so central to everything and so clean. We had the best time during MG!!
We recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott for Mardi Gras and truly appreciate the service provided to us by Tyler, the front desk associate and Webster, the valet supervisor! They were the chef’s kiss to this trip as they showed great southern hospitality and made us out of towners feel like we were home. I would wish the rooms have slightly better lighting, but off the strength of customer service, I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Tyler and Webster !
Great location not far from Port and even offers parking during your cruise. Great b overall location in the art district and walking distance to some great restaurants and the warehouse district.
I stayed at your hotel from November 21-23, 2025. When we arrived on 11/21, we had to wait several hours because the room was not ready. We were also charged a $100 deposit, and I was told that the money would be returned to me after checkout. It has now been several days, and still have not received my $100 refund.
