We stayed at French Market Inn during our last trip to New Orleans and really enjoyed our stay overall. The location was probably our favorite part. We were able to walk to so many restaurants and attractions, which made everything really convenient. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful and ended up being one of my favorite spots at the hotel. I also loved the pool area and honestly wish we would have brought our swimsuits. The room itself was nice and comfortable too. Our only issue was with the air conditioning when we first arrived. We lowered the temperature before heading back out, but when we came back later the room still hadn’t cooled down. Staff did send someone to check it out, but the process took longer than I feel like it should have before we were finally moved to another room. Aside from that, we had a really good experience here and would definitely stay again on another trip to New Orleans.

A “good” hotel is TOTALLY dependent on what SPECIFIC things are important to the guest staying there. Here is what I want in a NOLA hotel: 1) A BOUTIQUE hotel: a small hotel that is NOT part of a chain 2) a hotel that looks and feels like New Orleans: charming, unique, historic.,.NOT a slick /modern generic building that could easily look like one in Akron or Peoria…. 3) location in the quarter OR the Garden District…not on Canal or in the Warehouse District And the French Market Inn delivers it all! It OOZES fabulous New Orleans charm! Quaint brick courtyard, French doors, staircases, little balconies and hallways…there is NO DOUBT that you are in a historic French Quarter building! There is parking available directly across the street. There is someone there to help you with your luggage. The front desk staff is very friendly and wonderfully welcoming.. Café Dumonde is across the street and down a block or two. Tujacques famous restaurant is one block down on the same side of the street. You don’t have the craziness of Bourbon Street, but you have ALL the charm of the French Quarter and a perfect FQ location. . But if you like generic big box giant chain hotels with a lobby bar offering overpriced drinks, and tons of screaming kids and families running all throughout the lobby then FMI is NOT the one for you. If you love, pure charm and Real French Quarter New Orleans style in the French market Inn is absolutely perfect for you.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a truly magical hotel in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans. This historic inn is brimming with charm, Southern hospitality and it's attention to detail was simply flawless. An enchanting spot conveniently located to everything that this vibrant city has to offer. The hotel is a labyrinth of understated elegance, beautiful fauna filled courtyards that create a serene atmosphere, and the dipping pool is picture-perfect—ideal for a refreshing swim after a day of exploring. The rooms themselves were spectacular, full of modern amenities mingled with exposed brick walls, architectural details and those PILLOWS are cloud like, lol. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the incredible service. Elysia at the front desk was warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Kevin, the concierge and bellman, was equally impressive, providing insider tips on the best local attractions and dining spots. Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of delightful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming stay in New Orleans. Ps. For reference our future stays at the Hilton, while in NOLA, now seem unlikely. Run, don't walk to the French Market Inn. You can relax when you get there. Len Fraser and Kat Barrett

This is truly a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Everything about our stay was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after exploring the city. What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The two ladies at the reception were especially sweet and kind — they made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Their helpful attitude and warm hospitality made a big difference in our experience. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We truly appreciated the great service and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future. ?Aida and Albina Hadzic

We will absolutely be staying here every time we visit! The location is great, the room was perfect and always kept clean and the gals at the front desk were SO good to us. They made us feel at home away from home and were always so accommodating of everything we needed! The bellmen took care of us and were all 3 very helpful gentleman as well. The courtyard is gorgeous and the quaint saltwater pool was an amazing way to ail our feet from walking all day everyday. If you want to stay at your NOLA home away from home, have everything within an 10 minute walk or less and have every amenity you need met and exceeded book your stay HERE!

French Market Inn is a great hotel, perfectly located — close to everything, yet far enough from the loudness of Bourbon Street to enjoy some peace and quiet. The service is very attentive, helpful, and truly on top of everything. The courtyard between the buildings creates a warm, cozy atmosphere that makes the stay even more special. Plus, having a coffee shop next door is incredibly convenient. We especially enjoyed the morning sun and coffee on the balcony. At first, we were a little hesitant because of the possible noise, but it was quiet enough to truly relax and unwind. We absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed it very much.

We recently stayed at the French Market Inn and loved it! A charming hotel in the French Quarter within walking distance to everything which was important to us as we were traveling with a toddler. As much as we loved the hotel itself, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff is what really makes this place extra special! My 2 yo grandson excitedly ran to the lobby everyday to see his friends who always took the time to acknowledge him, even if it was simply a smile and wave if they were busy. Would absolutely stay here again!

My wife and I stay here every year for Mardi Gras. Its a nice hotel in a perfect location that's close to everything. You can park and walk everywhere. My wife is a little more picky than I am about the type of room we have. We've had a few minor issues in this area but nothing major. The front desk staff is always helpful and accommodating. They offered to move us when someone else checked out of a more spacious 2 bedroom balcony which is what we preferred to have. The room #247 they moved us to was perfect. My wife absolutely loved it. The only issue we had was that our parking information was taken down incorrectly resulting in a boot being placed on our car. We had to change our plans because the boot wasn't removed for several hours after the hotel sent in the correct information. Regardless, it was a very nice trip and we would still happily stay here again

We had a wonderful time here! The staff were all amazing and so friendly. We arrived on an early flight, and the staff were able to get us into a room long before check-in. The location is ideal for the french market, and isn't on a street that gets crazy and loud. It's only two blocks from Royal and Bourbon streets, and right down the road from Jackson Square and Cafe du Monde. Our room was unique and charming. The courtyard and gas lamps were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for the southern hospitality!

I had a wonderful 7-day stay at The French Market Inn. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the French Quarter, yet still peaceful and quiet when you’re ready to unwind. The room was comfortable, clean, and full of New Orleans charm, and the staff was consistently friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Being able to step outside and immediately enjoy the French Market, Jackson Square, and all the nearby restaurants and music made the experience even better. It truly felt like the ideal home base for exploring the city. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.
