The Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville offers a convenient and generally positive experience, particularly for its location and connection to the Ritz-Carlton. Recent reviews highlight staff friendliness and cleanliness, but also reveal recurring issues with bed comfort, inconsistent bathroom quality, and occasional maintenance problems. The hotel’s proximity to the French Quarter provides easy access to attractions, despite some noise concerns.
Id say you get what you pay for, but we actually paid quite a bit for this room. The shower and sink were both not draining. I was standing in water up to my ankles im the shower, which is quite disgusting in a hotel. When I went down to ask if we could get it looked at, they told me maintenance would fix. However, when we got back to our room that night, not only had maintenance not been there, but neither had housekeeping. Luckily, it was only a 2 night stay, so we checked out the next morning.
I was really happy with my stay here. The price was very affordable. We loved how large our room was (we loved that it was a suite with a separate bedroom/living area). The snack area was nice to have, as was the restaurant. A huge plus was that the hotel was connected to the Ritz Carlton; we were in town for a convention at the Ritz, and it was a huge bonus that we could go back and forth without having to walk outside. We felt that the hotel was very well-decorated, and really liked the color schemes. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The heating unit worked well. We also had great experience with all of the staff members we interacted with. The location was perfect, too - walking distance from tons of great restaurants and Jackson Square! This is definitely our go-to in New Orleans now.
We had such a pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott French Quarter. Our room and bathroom were big enough with lots of room to move around. The room was cleaned quickly and thoroughly daily. The location is great, walking distance from anywhere in the French Quarter but tucked along a quiet street. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gracious the whole time. One night I had a big fall on Bourbon Street (I’m sure they happens quite a bit) that I didn’t realize cut me pretty deep until I was back at the hotel. I called the front desk at 1am to see if they had bandaids/first aid equipment and they brought up some bandaids and alcohol wipes within a few minutes. That was a nice gesture and so convenient, I was prepared to change again to run to a CVS nearby but they saved me that trip. We would for sure book this hotel again for a future trip to New Orleans.
Hotel was sooooo perfectly located. Couldnt beat the location. The rooms seemed to be renovated and were really nice. There was little to no staff interaction which is ok. The GSA that checked us in had great energy and gave us a great introduction to NOLA. She really set the tone for the trip.
Tyrone working inside the Starbucks set me up on a cold night with hot cocoa and Baileys. The front desk was so helpful with our millions of random questions. The ac/heat worked great and the maintenance guy was johnny on the spot with any minor issues. Recommend 2 King beds as the bed closest to the window has a slider barn-style door. (The bathroom is in between the 2 beds for added privacy and quiet. ) Hotel is perfect location. Not too close to noisy Bourbon and just close enough to the riverfront area. My only complaint is the beds are just way too soft and I woke up with a backache. I would come back but ask for a different room.
My apologies, I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in. One of the most accommodating front desk experience I've had. I'd like to add when I asked during check-in for extra towels, housekeeping beat me to the room with providing the accommodation! Every staff was nice and welcoming that includes the valet staff as well. PS: The noise level from the Party folks of celebrating the New Year to the Sugar Bowl folks was amazing! Have a blessed year with business!

Great location! So close to Bourbon Street and Canal Street! Check in was great and Adriana was really professional and kind. Our room is spotless and nice. Don’t miss out on the smoked cherry old fashioned in the bar in the afternoon! So good! ??
Stayed here three nights in early November. Rooms were clean and updated, especially for the age of the building. The staff at the front desk were helpful and polite. Great location if you want to be in walking distance to Bourbon Street, but not in heart of the party. I would stay here again for sure.
The hotel is in the center of the French Quarter, a block from Bourbon Street. It's a15 minute walk to Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square. Canal Street is a five minute walk away. The valet service was excellent and quick. If you are going to park your car and leave it, there are cheaper options. But if you are going in and out as we did, using the hotel's parking is better. All the employees who we dealt with were excellent. But, the accommodations are average and there could be improvements. The great thing is that the room we stayed in was truly a suite with a separate bedroom with a door. Most hotels advertise suites that are actually studios with no doors separating the space. However, unlike other true suites, the room lacks any kitchen like areas as most other hotels have. There is a cabinet with a sink and coffee maker and that's it. No microwave or utensils. There is a microwave down the hall in a small room with the ice machine, but it is difficult to set the timing. The renovated bathrooms shower stalls were poorly designed. You can't turn on the water without standing in the water flow. That means if the water is too cold or too hot you're going to get hit with it. There should be a way to turn the water on and off by standing to the side of the valve. But, there is no door there. Just a fixed glass wall. There are some rooms with accommodations for disabled people, but they are limited. We were given a shower chair when we asked, although it was not sent until I called again the next day. The shower chair was too big and an inappropriate design for the stall. A simple chair design would have been much better. The in-room coffee benefit was extremely limited. If you want a caffeinated coffee, there was the opportunity to have what was the equivalent of a half cup and that was it. We had just stayed in a Hilton hotel the night before that used a Keurig coffee maker and had several pods available. That was immeasurably better. There is no free breakfast or coffee as most hotels provide. You can buy some food offerings and Starbucks coffee in the lobby. In short, the room was average and could use improvement. The employees we dealt with from the valet service, front desk, to housekeeping were all excellent. If you want to experience the heart of New Orleans, the location is excellent.
