I wasn’t overly impressed with my stay here. The staff is friendly and we were able to get what we needed out of the stay. The valet crew is amazing. Great view. The lighting in the room was 2/10. One lamp for the entire room, very difficult to see (and I have great eyes). The rooms are HOT!!! The shower head sprayed water in every direction but where needed and the water did not drain properly, leaving us standing in shallow water most of the shower. Location was great for getting anywhere in the city. 3/10 and probably wouldn’t stay again.

The staff here is great! Always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are just ok, thin walls and no soundproofing make it tough to sleep without earplugs. Love the location, but would not stay here again due to the noise levels.

I arrived in New Orleans close to midnight after a long international flight, and Kaylyn at the front desk of Aloft truly made it a phenomenal welcome. Despite the late hour, she greeted me with genuine warmth and energy that immediately lifted my spirits. As a lovely Mardi Gras touch, she even gave me beads — such a small gesture, but it made my arrival feel festive and special. Kaylyn also took the time to share helpful advice on food spots and must-visit attractions, which made navigating the city much easier for a first-time visitor. Her professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm turned what could have been a tiring check-in into a memorable start to my stay. Thank you, Kaylyn, for setting the tone for a wonderful New Orleans experience.

I recently stayed at Aloft New Orleans Downtown on Baronne Street, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I originally booked my reservation with the option to pay at the hotel, but my reservation kept getting canceled multiple times. After dealing with that frustration, I finally went ahead and prepaid the required amount prior to arrival just to secure the room. Upon check-in, I was informed there would be a $150 hold placed on my card. This was never disclosed to me prior to booking. In addition, parking is valet only and costs $50 per day, which is charged directly to your room. You didn’t even have the option to pay for the parking separate from the room. These unexpected charges were frustrating, especially after already dealing with reservation issues. Once in the room, the experience only got worse. There were no towels available, and the water pressure was extremely low making it nearly impossible to shower. After driving five hours from another state, I was looking forward to relaxing, but I couldn’t even properly shower. When I contacted the front desk, no staff member was able to resolve the issues. I was simply told that a manager would assist, but there was no immediate solution offered. The refrigerator is located in the bathroom area. I paid extra for a room with a city view and the room I was assigned was views of buildings. Also the lock did not lock on the door you could only use the security bar which is definitely a safety hazard. The bathroom door does not fully close when you need the privacy of showering or using the bathroom. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I should have trusted my first instinct. After a long drive, the last thing anyone wants is to deal with reservation problems, surprise fees, and basic room issues that prevent you from even being comfortable. Very disappointing experience. DO NOT book at this hotel. I couldn’t wait until it was time to check out due to the inconvenience of all of this. NEVER again!!!

This is one of the best hotels that’s I’ve stayed in NOLA! This will be my go to hotel from this point on. The Guest experience, is nothing short of exceptional. The staff was great! They represented the true definition of hospitality. Courteous and Professional! I lacked nothing! I even managed to break my cell phone charger and one of the kind employees at the front desk allowed me to use her charger. To the management team: Please acknowledge Makayla Gandy and Kenyeah Hill for the exceptional service the provided!!!! Thank you ladies!

The location is great. It is just a few blocks away from the outside noise of all the night life here. The service was friendly, but average for Nola. The room configurations were odd. Not much natural light. There was no way to keep a night light on near the bathroom without affecting the sleeping area. Some rooms are very noisy. We were a few rooms away from the elevator, but could hear it clearly going up and down all day/night. At least one of the elevator had doors that were very loud opening and closing that echoed down the hallway. The HVAC is also loud when turning off and on. We needed to ask for facial tissue and shower soap, as both were basically out.

Picked this spot because of the Aloft brand and the proximity to the French Quarter (and the rate was good during a holiday as well). Property is Aloft branded throughout. Building is set up oddly, with 1 bank of 'vators going to a parking garage, and the other bank taking you to the rooms above the garage, so you need to pay attention to where you're going. Pluses: Location. Staff overall was very kind, attentive, and welcoming from the front desk to the bar. Housekeeping generally did a good job taking care of the room. Water pressure/temp in shower was pretty good. Property in the main areas looked well-maintained (my room...meh). Housekeeping seems to be daily, and they do leave a note on your door if your DND is hanging so you know they were there. Negatives: Whomever designed the room I was in needs to go back to design school, along with a refresher on electrical setup. Didn't mind the oddly shaped room, except for all the dead space in it. Lighting was next to NONEXISTENT in the main area of the room (like sleeping in a cave), and pretty decent in the bathroom area...except for the light switch on the other side of the room entry next to the door. (Good luck finding the toilet in the middle of the night!) Outlets were not in easy-to-use places, and in-room fridge needed to be replaced (and I think plugged into an outlet that worked) as well. Housekeeping overlooked the half-consumed bottle of courtesy water in my room, and never gave me a replacement (Front Desk dude took care of me, but I still had to ask) Property does an odd pre-charge/reversal then partial charge for the stay, which looked weird on the bill and I actually sat and added it up to make sure it was correct from what I booked. TL;DR: Worth booking if you like the Aloft brand and want a reasonably priced property near Canal St. and the FQ.

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Bourbon street and 10 minute walk from the French Market. Very convenient location and the hotel was very neat, clean and well decorated. Beds are comfortable and room is a ok size. The things I disliked was when I first got there I asked the girl to put us in the best location and room being that it was my man bday. She has us on the 17th floor, no view or amenities. The amenities (pool and gym are on the 11th floor which we would have preferred better. Also, valet take forever! One time we waited 20 mins for our car to come. Other than those 2 things the hotel staff was very pleasant and they gave us a free drink voucher when we checked in.

This place was amazing. It was our first time coming to New Orleans and Trell the manager was so helpful during check in and all her staff were all weekend long. She welcomed me and my son. This hotel has everything and it’s near everything like Canal Street and lots of fun/restaurants. Go book this hotel you won’t be disappointed. We checked in on Friday, 12/12/25.

If you are looking for somewhere to lay your head only this would be an ok place. No room service, no restaurant but you do have an option at the bar for only wings, fries, pizza(cheese) and a burger. Upon arrival I had dirty wet towels outside my door. Hair was in the sink, which indicates they probably put in towels in and change linen only. I was there for the Falcons v Saints game and only ONE elevator was operating which led to long wait times. The hotel offers/charges for vallet, but when I for my vehicle the vallet worker literally parked vehicle in the street, an actual lane of travel. I can only assume she wasn't comfortable parallel parking as spaces were available. Why offer vallet if parallel parking isnt a requirement for the job. The front desk workers were nice though. Hotel is in a good location to the Superdome and not bad of a walk to Canal. The in room refrigerator was located under bathroom sink, it was plugged in but wasn't cold. The ice machine on the floor didn't work either.
