Leroy is amazing. Brett was lovely too. Everything else about this hotel was rough. Rooms were dirty, and very noisy. The plumbing was dysfunctional - a maintenance guy had to show me how to use the shower because to quote him, “it was installed incorrectly” No one came in to freshen up the room each day so we had to request towels. Once we were told there were “no large towels available” so they gave us a couple hand towels. Also - didn’t know that the hotel had a reputation for being haunted, but that meant there were lots of tours around the hotel at any given moment. Overall- the experience was disappointing and not worth what we paid to stay here. It’s pretty clear the hotel owners are deprioritizing this property to focus on others, which is a shame. It has a lot of potential.

Brett, Leroy and the rest of the staff were amazing. Helpful, fun and friendly. Our room wasn't the best but for the age of the building you can expect the odd issue. It's historic so don't expect the Hilton or similar. To be fair we've stayed in a lot worse that's nowhere near as old. Great location for everywhere in and around the French quarter. Staggering distance from bourbon street. Short walk one way and you're in Frenchman street the other way to canal street.

This is by far the best place to stay in New Orleans. Leroy is the manager and he’s amazing, a very welcoming host who’s a pleasure to speak with, he went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the courtyard is lovely. This is the only place we’ll stay at moving forward. It’s also the perfect location, one street over from bourbon and just a couple of blocks’ walk to The Jackson Square. Thank you so much for this unforgettable stay, I’d highly recommend!

Stayed here with my daughter for her 21st birthday. Great location, close to everything in the quarter. Staff was always warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Felt safe at all times. Prompt service regarding the valet service. Overall, I would recommend and I would stay here again. Gave 4 stars because we did experience some loud lobby door noise at night (nothing ear plugs wouldn't have solved) and they didn't have hair dryers available.

Solo-travelers especially women, BEWARE!!! Terrible experience!! Believe what a previous guest (Renzhi Zhao) forewarned in their Google review about this hotel being a scam of hidden fees. I booked this hotel through a third-party company with my job for my birthday. The issues I experienced began when I discovered the parking fees were $53+ per night. A process that is NOT clear and purposely left vague on their website. The staff who assisted me provided conflicting prices, as I was told i would have to pay an additional $153.19 for parking in addition to the $200+ I had already paid for the reservation itself. I was told I have to pay the parking through "Expedia Express" which IS NOT clearly outlined on the hotel's website. The situation escalated when the attendant became belligerent and threatened me stating, "You have two options, you can take the reservation or I'm calling the police." I was also surprised by the gross comment made when I asked the attendant to consider my perspective as a solo female traveler. I understand that mistakes can occur; and even the staff being "new" which I made clear and showed empathy to him. However, the lack of transparency, misinformation, and unacceptable behavior displayed by the staff raises concerns about customer safety and satisfaction. When I asked the staff to consider my perspective as a solo, woman traveling, he responded, "that doesn't matter." As a result, I strongly advise solo travelers, especially women, to be cautious when booking with this hotel and consider alternative options that prioritize customer concerns and well-being. Additionally, I found it peculiar that the staff not only refused to provide me with his name which thankfully I already knew thanks to earlier introductions, but he refused to provide the name of the general manager despite these clear instructions given from the third-party app, when they advised us both (on speakerphone) the steps I needed to request a refund. If there was no issue, or if they weren't running a scam, it would have been reasonable to provide this information. The fact that me requesting their names led to the staff threatening multiple times to call the police on me is VERY telling and I implore travelers to use discernment. Per instructions from the third-party app, I needed management approval for the refund which they of course, denied.... But it's alright! What's done in the dark will come to light! I will be sharing my experience on every review site possible and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to bring this to their attention as I believe this requires further investigation. Management, no need to respond now when you see this review as you had your chance to correct this! The only response you should give is your name and a refund! I do hope that this experience serves as a cautionary warning for future travelers who prioritize safety and transparency in their accommodations.

Great location. Pray you don’t need maintenance for anything, as the one younger male was very rude and brief. Front desk attendants are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very small, only a bed and dresser and a bit of walk around area. Bed is almost too big for the room. We stayed in room 208 hoping that the rumors and stories of it being haunted were true. The only haunting we experienced was the shallow temperature drop at sundown. They front desk has coffee hour from 6-11am No options for breakfast other than to find somewhere in the area or order online. No laundry services No pool No fitness center Now the pros- Just like most of NOLA, This is a historic hotel with some deep rooted NOLA history dating back to the previous construction of the hotel was an orphanage that caught on fire allegedly trapping 4 children that now haunt the hotel. The area is rich in French and Spanish architecture.

Spent two nights at the Andrew Jackson and absolutely loved it!! Very quaint and all the staff we encountered in person were great. The only issue we had was when booking we called to see if one of the rooms with a balcony had a pull out sofa as it listed being able to sleep 4 with only 1 bed. The lady that answered would not check for us and just told us she didn’t know or didn’t believe so. Leading us to book a different room without a balcony. This wasn’t the end of the world as our room was in the outside corridor in the middle of the Inn and it was beautiful! Very close walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Their Facebook mentioned 50% off parking when booking before January 31st but we were still charged the full price of $100 for our two night stay. There is no on-site parking, so if you arrive outside of valet hours you will have to park two blocks away at their sister hotel and walk back. While we didn’t experience any visits from Armand, we did speak with the front desk about things we had read online. Leroy was fantastic! He was very informative on the history of the hotel and shared with us some of his experiences after working there for 15 years. While some reviews mentioned the cleanliness of the hotel, you have to remember you’re booking in a historic building. The beds were clean, water was hot, and the doors locked. If you don’t want to experience a place of history then maybe consider booking elsewhere!

The staff are friendly, helpful and have wonderful suggestions on food, entertainment etc. The rooms are fine but the lack of outlets is frustrating. Our lamp by the bed was plugged into an extension cord and plugged into an outlet across the room. The pillows aren't that comfortable and the walls are thin so you hear everything. It's in a wonderful location very close to the action of Bourbon Street and the French quarter.

This place was in the perfect location. The staff at the front desk was quite nice and personable. Now our room..... it was a nice size and the air condition made the room great. The cleanliness of the room was a different story. There were dirty socks, undies, and trash under the beds. We were charged over $50 for amenities. We called and asked what the amenties charge was for (mind you they have no pool, jacuzzi, work out room, or breakfast). They told us the charge was for towels, shampoo and soap, which I brought my own shampoo and body wash. I travel a lot, and I have never beeen charged for towels and shampoo. This place was nice, but the amenities charge was absured.

Extremely disappointed with this place! Please please check your room bed sheets & mattresses. They gave us room 210 and it was absolutely shockingly disgusting! The room was dirty, dusty, bugs, old opened beer cans left inside the closet but the worse part was the bed. The sheets looks dirty and stained and after seeing a comment about bed bugs in one of the rooms we decided to check the bed sheets closely and the mattress. When we removed all sheets including the mattress protector what we found on the mattress was insane! There was a huge stained that looked like dry blood that covered most of the top part of the mattress alongside with several other stains throughout. We were truly in disbelief. We immediately grabbed our luggage and notified them we did not feel comfortable staying there after what we saw. We were so excited to stay here, we understand the hotel is older and expected the room not to be in perfect condition, but this was just a disappointment. To top it off, they REFUSED TO REIMBURSE US OUR MONEY!!!!!
