Maison Dupuy Hotel offers a prime location in the French Quarter of New Orleans, steps from Bourbon Street. However, recent reviews consistently highlight aging infrastructure, cleanliness concerns, and inconsistent service. While the staff is generally friendly, the property's dated rooms and operational issues detract from the overall experience.

Very good location and kind, helpful staff. Decent quality for the low price I paid, but there were several issues. Somewhat old/outdated rooms, peeling paint in the bathrooms, occasionally flickering lights in the bedroom, cheap thin bedding, only decaf coffee available in the room, room telephone did not work to call front desk. Worth it if you just need a place to crash in a great location walking distance from many great spots. However, don’t expect it to be a particularly luxurious or comfortable stay.

Well, I stayed here 15 years ago on a business trip and it was nice. Don’t bother to stay here now! We had two rooms as our son had met us here for the weekend. Neither rooms air conditioning worked in humid New Orleans. The rooms are certainly run down and the shower in one room sprayed everywhere, but at you. The elevators are sketchy! The lady working the front desk in the evenings is far from friendly. To top it off, a large group of college kids from Missouri (Mizzou) drove in for the weekend. Lots of partying and dope smelling hallways. Perhaps someone will buy it and renovate, but avoid at all costs for now.

Can't say I was too pleased with my stay here. It was one of the cheaper options in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras, so I can't complain too much, but overall I was disappointed. First of all, I made my reservation through a third party and when I emailed the hotel to confirm that the reservation was recieved, I did not recieve a response. I sent a second email and once again heard nothing back. I finally got a verbal confirmation when I called, but they refused to confirm the dates or provide written confirmation. Not a huge deal, but it was a bit frustrating how they did not communicate. The hotel itself is just okay. It is very old, and I experienced issues with everything from the key cards not working (which happened several times) to the elevator acting strange. The room felt dirty and there were stains everywhere from the curtains to the bed. There was unflushed feces in the toilet when I arrived. Everything just felt like it had a layer of grime on it, including the floor. The bathroom lamp lacked a cover and you could see into the wiring in the ceiling. It didn't feel safe. The staff were somewhat pleasant, but not as friendly as at other hotels I've been to. They seemed stressed due to Mardi Gras so I don't blame them for that. Speaking of Mardi Gras, I was really annoyed by how I could not have guests in my room unless I paid for a $30 wrist band for them. They enforced this Mardi Gras week and I understand their reasoning, but it still frustrated me how I couldn't have friends stop by the room I paid so much for. The attached restaurant had good food but was outrageously expensive ($40+ for a standard breakfast). I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for food. I did appreciate how they provided coffee and water in the lobby for guests. The only other thing I'll note is that when I got home, I noticed a cluster of itchy bug bites on my arm. I'm not saying they're from bed bugs, but I'm not sure what else they could have come from. Use caution with your luggage in the room. I'm really hoping I didn't bring any bugs home with me. The location is fantastic, but they really need to work on this place a bit more. It's not the worst place I've ever stayed, but I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

First off if u go during Mardi Gras u gon have a hard time getting there ! Bc every right way rice is shut off ! Then the rooms are hot..like rlly hot ! Everything in the room is old looking not like 2017 more like 1995, like is carpet is kinda up around the edge of the room and the Ac is one of the ones with the numbers on it already and if you like sleeping in the cold definitely don’t book you will Be irritated all through the night ! Yes u have a balcony but you share it with your neighbor! The tub has rust stains had to take a shower with my crocs and I’m not even boujee fr , the way the bathroom is set it’ll piss you off like u can’t use the restroom and close the door and the tub is behind the door literally it’s just a lot I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless like you really juss need some quick to stay ! Also if you stay during Mardi Gras make sure you okay with walking (which I was totally fine with but just letting u kno) make sure everywhere you wanna visit is walking distance because 9/10 you not gon be able to go nowhere because of road blockages we wanted to be close to the parade so we didn’t have to drive BUT not stuck in all 4 ways of the road but my biggest complaint is the AC it’s so hot u literally have to sleep still to not get hot and you’ll still bust a sweat

I stayed at Maison Dupuy this weekend and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent, just 3 blocks from Bourbon Street, which makes it very convenient while still being quiet enough to relax. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated. However, the inside café was closed most of the time, so I wasn’t able to have breakfast or eat there during my stay, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you’re not looking for a hotel with lots of on-site dining options. Great location and comfortable stay, just keep in mind the limited food service.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is two blocks from Bourbon St, which is perfect for going out but still sleep at night. I have been staying in this hotel for many years. I remember it being nicer but as everything, it is aging. The shower leaks and not all bulbs worked, for example. There was no coffee except decaf in the room. The restaurant was closed despite having a recent "special schedule" posted. I will stay here again, and I still recommend it, but we all should lower our expectations.

This was by far the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The charm of the hotel is within its vintage look. However, the basic upkeep of guest rooms were severely lacking. The carpet was dirty and hasn’t been shampooed or replaced in years. The bathroom came with several dirt stains on the door and tub. They still have wall paper in the shower area that holds the mildew smell hostage. The hotel is not made for any type of comfortable moments. It is meant for you to walk up each day and leave immediately. When I did call for new towels, it took nearly 3 hours to arrive. Front desk was very nice. However, the housekeeping crew did not move with urgency or consideration for guest time.

Our room was classed as deluxe, nothing deluxe about it. Carpets were gringy, furniture chipped and drawers etc wonky.. No overhead light, which wouldn’t be a problem if the 2 table lamps worked, only one worked which was very dim. Reported this but bulb never replaced. Too many plugs were all into one extension lead which didn’t look too safe . Window view looked over to flats on other side of street with cardboard on windows. Housekeeping a lot to be desired, we got clean towels every day but beds never made up. The chair in our room was thick with dust. No hot water when getting ready to go out. Bathroom not very clean. Pool grey/green with inside surrounds damaged, would certainly not use it. Just not impressed by this hotel at all. Took photos - maybe we were just unlucky !

I had a wonderful experience. The hotel es perfectly located(in French quarter but just where the party noise doesn’t reach to).I was on business trip and felt super safe walking alone.Want to highlight the staff, specially the manager Keyiana,my companies card payment had trouble and it was debited from my personal, she quickly help me solve this issue and went the extra mile. The whole team always welcomed with a smile. The rooms are a bit old but that is the magic of the city, they are super clean and huge. The beds are super comfortable. The hotel pool and common areas are beautiful. Just recommendation change the keycard system, i had to get them fixed 3 times.

Clean room , comfortable bed and the employees were nice and helpful. The Bistreaux down in the lobby is a good vibe with live music . Courtyard and pool was a nice area . Not sure about some of these reviews, but this Hotel is nice. Not a single complaint. I guess some ppl are hard to please .
