Moxy New Orleans is located in a prime French Quarter area, offering a trendy and energetic atmosphere. However, recent reviews highlight significant operational issues, including long wait times for service, malfunctioning amenities like a/c and ice machines, and cleanliness concerns. While some staff members are praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, the overall experience appears inconsistent and marred by persistent problems.

As an elite member who travels frequently, this hotel is is the worse one I have stayed at. Only one elevator was working during our stay, and there was no ETA on when the other would be fixed. That meant waits of up to 30 minutes just to get downstairs or back to the room, which was incredibly inconvenient. On top of that, the AC in the lobby was out the entire time we were there. We also had to switch rooms because our original room smelled like a sewage backup, and that process was slow and frustrating. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here. This brand is usually much more reliable, but this location felt worn out, poorly maintained, and not very clean.

First & foremost it was a lil different from the hotels I've stayed at. I had three windows & a view of the streets surrounding hotel. I ask for hangers & was brought extras. Joshua, the front desk manager & Elisha, the Housekeeping manager were very accommadating to our requests & very pleasant & professional. Thank you!!!

Best part of stay was Josh. He was very friendly and helpful. I felt the hallway and entrance were a bit dirty. The room was 2 queen. No mini frig. Only a card table chair to sit on. Bathroom was shower only and toliet - sink was outside bathroom. The ice machine did not work on our floor. About half the lights were not working in the elevator. Valet parking was offered but we opted for 24hr parking garage for $25/day just across from hotel. This is better option if not using your car during stay.

If I could leave a negative star for this hotel, I would. Do NOT stay here!!! Do not believe the pictures you see online. Rooms are run down, dirty, with broken window shades that won't go down, broken plug in outlets, broken charger outlets by the bed, but the worst is absolutely no heat in room during the worst cold snap of the year. Our room was consistently below 60 degrees for the whole stay. We had to sleep in two layers of clothes and under multiple blankets. They said maintenance would go up and fix it, that never happened. After reporting it, in good faith I believed them. But as I sat in the lobby trying to warm up and work and charge my devices over the 3 hours that I was in the lobby the "maintenance" man never once left the lobby. Then by the next day, multiple other customers down complaining that their heat did not work either. The refrain was always the same, maintenance will come look at it. When we complained to Marriott, the hotel gave us a paultry 5000 points credit, pathetic. We weren't asking for a full refund, but that offer was actually insulting after all of the issues with the hotel.

Stayed here with 2 of my friends. I give it a 4/5. Location was great. Not too far from the happenings of the French Quarter but close enough to walk. The staff were great. However. The room was interesting. The shower was a rainfall shower head. So thats a nice feature. Beds were comfortable. Spacious enough for 3 people. Interesting tidbit. The hotel doesn't have a microwave, fridge, or continental breakfast. Which is interesting because its usually an amenity. We came during one of the coldest weekends. Heating was not working. It was colder inside the room then outside. We had extra blankets given but we were still cold. Would I stay here again? Probably not just because of the lack of continental breakfast option and mini fridge.

The name says Moxy by Marriott, but it’s more like Moxy by Temu. Unprofessional and extremely rude staff. Irresponsible and arrogant management. They will gaslight you, lie to your face, taunt you to file a complaint “because HR won’t do anything”. And even after your stay they will continue harassing you. You’ll be better off staying literally anywhere else. The facility itself is located very central. King room was small and a little bit claustrophobic Beddings/bedsheets are very thin and worn out. Decent pillow and mattress softness. Great water pressure in bathroom. I’m not a fan of sink in the room but that’s the new norm for not-so-budget B&Bs I guess.

My first moxy stay was in Boston MA, and it was absolutely fantastic!! Staff was amazing, rooms were super cool and clean, the whole atmosphere of the hotel was awesome, highly recommend. But the CLEANLINESS of this hotel is atrocious!! There’s bleach stains all over the carpet in the hallways, there’s mold and mildew in the shower and sink, the downstairs bar was... a mess to say the least. I was holding on to the high hopes that I was given in MA, but I guess I shouldn’t have expected the same in NOLA. The lady that checked us in was nice, even though we had to wait 30 mins for our room, even though we got here 20 mins after check in, and the location is perfect for the French quarter. Close enough to enjoy but without the rifraf.

Only positives were beds were comfortable and location to downtown. Room 206 - don't let them give you this room unless AC has been repaired - sounded like heavy machinery running 24/7 then quit cooling completely in middle of last night. Maid only left 3 towels, no wash cloths or bath mat for 4 people. Only toilet paper was the one on the holder. Maid didn't leave any more.

The room is spacious especially the furniture are up on the wall to make the room more space. I like that they offer game stations at the lobby. I was offered free drink with non-alcoholic drink options. The staff brought us hot water. That's very sweet. The staff are friendly and very efficient.

Big thumbs up to the housekeeping team -- they are the only ones who seem to have a clue around here. Other than that... Internet? Trash. Food? Trash. Drinks? Trash. Cable? Trash. Front Desk/Bar/Air Fryer Area (who came up with this ridiculous concept)? Trash. Marriott should be embarrassed to carry this property in its portfolio.
