If you get to stay at this lovely resort, I hope it’s for a conference or event, so you have the chance to meet their outstanding staff member Russell. Every single staff member was so nice and friendly, but Russell went above and beyond to make sure our group was taking care of. He was always happy and smiling and filling my glass before I realized it was empty! What an absolute gem of an employee, and I am honored to have met him. The hotel is in the perfect location one block from Bourbon St. It’s close enough to get there quickly but far enough away that you don’t hear the noise. Rooms were impeccably clean. Beds were comfortable. Doormen and front desk staff incredibly friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Great location! But this hotel is overrated. Kind of disappointing…. It’s nice, people are friendly, but that’s what I expect as a minimum of every hotel. I didn’t feel the extra. It was good. The bathroom is missing a fan, after taking a shower it takes a while until the mirrors defog. We got lucky the rain had stopped, otherwise we would have had to walk in the rain around the hotel, because they locked the door of the walk through from parking garage to hotel. Our main reason to book this hotel was the carousel bar. But that was under construction not being mentioned anywhere. The operation of it is moved to their restaurant bar which is definitely not the same. Danielle at the roof top bar was awesome though! She made our start of the evening to be a very nice experience!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! The hotel has so much New Orleans charm, with beautiful chandeliers, artwork, and intricate architectural details. It’s in a great location, just steps from Bourbon Street, and we had a wonderful view of the water from our room. American Airlines somehow canceled our reservation, but the woman at the front desk was incredibly patient, kind, and accommodating despite my husband’s understandable frustration. She was able to give us the exact same room we had originally booked. Our room was spacious with beautiful vintage furniture that fit the hotel’s historic character. There was a slight musty smell, which is to be expected in an older historic building, but the updated bathroom was lovely. We also loved the large bar area with its cozy lighting and seating. The bell staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The hotel only offers valet parking, but we appreciated knowing our vehicle was secure in the garage. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Stayed here for a long weekend in April for our first time visiting New Orleans and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We are able to check in several hours early and our room was beautiful. The daily housekeeping was impeccable and they always left our room looking brand new. The location was also great and we loved the Carousel Bar. Would 100% stay here again!

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I absolutely would. The level of service was beyond exceptional and far exceeded even the warmest Southern hospitality. The kindness and genuine care shown to us were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, and I will always be grateful for it. A special thank you to Kenosha JJ at the front desk, Mr. Nolan for looking out for us, and Auntie Khiya for treating us like family. The entire staff was incredible...every interaction made us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. From the service and the food to the rooms and every detail in between, everything was outstanding. This was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The rooftop pool at Hotel Monteleone was one of the highlights of our girls’ trip to New Orleans! We spent two different days at the pool in between our NOLA adventures, and it was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beautiful views of the city. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and the food and drinks were excellent. The poolside service made it easy to settle in and enjoy the day. A special thank you to Samantha, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable, even during busy times. She helped us find chairs, made sure towels were available, and was even checking that guests had sunscreen. Her attention to detail and genuine care for guests really stood out. Christine and Angie at the bar crafted fabulous New Orleans-style cocktails and added to the fun with their friendly service. Tavi, our server, kept us well fed, checked on us regularly, and made sure our space stayed clean and comfortable throughout the day. The entire team delivered exceptional hospitality and helped make our girls’ getaway even more memorable. We looked forward to returning each day and would absolutely recommend the rooftop pool experience to anyone staying at Hotel Monteleone. ??????

This was a great hotel. From the time i stepped out of the Lyft I didn't have to touch a bag. Then the concierge brought me right up to the front desk and told the receptionist exactly what I needed. Now the time was about 9 or 10ish so i fully expected to have to wait to checkin for a few hours but thankfully the receptionist was able to find a room for me right away. Once the receptionist checked me in she then gave me the rundown of the hotel. The room itself was nice and spacious. It is an older hotel but honestly this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at simply because of the service. I rarely give out 5 star reviews but this review was very much deserved. When it comes to the checkout process, it was just as easy as the checkin process and i STILL didn't have to touch a bag. Highly recommend this hotel.

In the heart of the French Quarter located on the quieter Royal Street, this upscale hotel is truly a glimpse of old world luxury. The service was really what stood out to me. While the rooms are nice and reasonably sized it was the people who made it phenomenal! I was there recently for a work meeting and the assistance I got with every aspect was truly above and beyond. I felt that they catered to every need and were extremely accommodating. If you have the budget for it, book your room here. I also had a nice view of the river on the 9th floor!

Hotel Monteleone delivered an exceptional business stay from start to finish. From the moment you arrive, the doormen set the tone: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The front-of-house staff carried that standard throughout, making every interaction smooth and effortless. A special mention is due for Russell, who stood out each morning as a warm and consistent presence. His helpfulness and attention to detail are exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good hotel into a memorable one. The Carousel Bar is an experience in itself, a New Orleans icon that lives up to every bit of its reputation, with excellent drinks and an atmosphere that's hard to match. Dining was equally impressive, with food that was both well-crafted and satisfying.

By far my favorite hotel in the Quarters! Fabulous carousel bar with the best lemon drop martinis I've ever tasted and music that will make you move! Wonderful comfy beds and quiet rooms to escape the fun city for sleeping in. Rooftop pool is amazing with a fabulous bar. I love Nola and the Monterleone!
