The Blackbird is a great hidden gem of New Orleans. The location was extremely convenient, it’s within walking distance to the St Charles streetcar as well as the Magazine St area. The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was very clean and inviting. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially Alvin who helped us out with a small AC issue and made great drinks behind the bar. The Blackbird definitely has a romantic feel, perfect for a couples trip. We will be back for sure!!

?????????? A Perfect Stay at the Blackbird Hotel — We Can’t Wait to Return We stayed at the Blackbird Hotel for my birthday and right before visiting family for Christmas, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in New Orleans. The property is every bit as beautiful as it looks online, but what really made our stay special was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, Taylor at the front desk set the tone. She was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, she even pointed us toward a great sushi spot when we realized the hotel’s small bites aren’t available on Mondays (totally normal for NOLA, where many service industry folks have that day off). Her recommendations were spot-on, and every interaction with her made us feel welcome. That evening, we ended the night at the hotel bar where Alvin was tending. He was attentive, personable, and made some fantastic drinks, including their take on an espresso martini, which was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with a few locals hanging out and chatting with us before we headed up to our room. Our room itself was perfect for me and my husband. The air conditioning kept everything cool, the bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, and we loved the thoughtful touch of local chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. We definitely enjoyed all the amenities. On Tuesday, we tried the small bites at the pool bar, and the deviled eggs were amazing. Tim was working that day and made one of his signature cocktails for us and our friends, it was so good I could’ve happily sipped it all night. Later that evening, we found ourselves back at the indoor bar with Alvin again, and he was just as wonderful as the night before. Our friends couldn’t stop talking about how great the hotel felt. When it was time to check out, I had another lovely conversation with Taylor. I joked that I could live at the hotel, and she told me she’d find a place for me, which honestly didn’t feel far from the truth. The whole team made us feel right at home. We walked to a nearby distillery to meet family before leaving, and we felt completely safe the entire time. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is truly exceptional. I told my husband that whenever we stay in New Orleans, this is where we’ll be. And we absolutely mean it. We can’t wait to come back.

I started a “NOLA Hotel” wishlist. The Blackbird Hotel was the first one we checked off, and we can’t wait to stay again. Upon checkin, Maya took us to our room and answered all our questions. She was so kind and helpful. When we checked out, Kayla was interested in how we enjoyed our stay and was sure to invite us back. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I love that it’s tucked away. The layout and decor left me speechless! We can’t wait to plan our next visit!

I gave the location 5 stars due to the fact that The Garden District suited us fine for the purpose of our trip. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However one of the lights in the bathroom was out and there was paint peeling on the windows frame. There also wasn't anywhere in the room aside from the bathroom to get ready, there was a full length mirror but the room was largely unimpressive comparatively to the hotel. I will say the common areas are gorgeous and as charming as the photos online. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the Holidays. As for service there wasn't any, our room wasn't cleaned housekeeping came around 3 PM and we were getting ready to leave she said she would come back and she didn't we asked for clean towels and she did leave them. Saturday into Sunday we noticed a lack of staff at the hotel; Sunday there was one person working in the whole establishment. No one at the front desk, no one working the inside bar the only person there was a bartender for the pool bar, in the whole place. Lastly, the cafe is only open until 11 AM there is no where else in the hotel to get a coffee, I mean a basic cup of coffee nothing fancy which is also 5.00 a cup at the cafe which I think given the price of the room is a lot. Now the rooms do have a nespresso machine but given that we had 0 housekeeping services I don't know who would restock that,no one did for us, or the mini bar which we happily used and paid for. I just wouldn't recommend this place for the price per night with the service and accommodations. I can say that the staff we did interact with were friendly and hospitable.

Perfect location to shop Magazine Street or to have dinner uptown. Beautiful rooms—so spacious and well-planned! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We didn’t try the pool, but it’s heated, so if we’d had the chance, we’d have jumped in!!

If you’ve ever pulled up a seat at The Blackbird Hotel and had the pleasure of meeting Tim, you already know why we locals can’t stop bragging about him. When I tell you the man don’t miss…the man don’t miss! Tim has an eye for detail that’s second to none. Every cocktail is crafted with precision and purpose, and you can taste the care in every sip. But what really makes Tim unforgettable is how he connects with people. He learns your palate, remembers what you love, and somehow always nails that perfect balance of flavor. It feels like every drink is made just for you—because, honestly, it is. Tim is charismatic, charming, and effortlessly skilled. Watching him work is like watching an artist in motion—confident, smooth, and never rushed. He elevates the entire vibe of the bar, turning an ordinary night into something special. We keep coming back because Tim makes it impossible not to. If you’re fortunate enough to land a spot at his bar, trust him completely. The blackbird is Lucky to have him.

My wife and I spent the night at The Blackbird Hotel for our anniversary. We loved every minute of our experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from check in to check out. We took advantage of the bar, the coffee cafe and the 24/7 heated pool. We can’t wait to make an excuse to come back!

The location in the Garden District is great: 10 min cab ride from the French Quarter, 10 mins into the heart of the Garden District. The thoughtful design and detail of the hotel is warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to create a 10/10 experience. Guy deserves a special shoutout. Went out of his way to help me find toothpaste, delivered late night pizza to my door, and made me feel safe. Alvin made AMAZING cocktails and was adorable. The staff felt like they were friends. We will be back and will be sending friends and family that way. The Chloe is great, Saint Vincent is great - but Blackbird feels like a curated, personal experience. Home away from home. Thank you!

We just found our new favorite hotel in New Orleans! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt moody, stylish, and romantic—absolutely perfect for our anniversary trip. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, surprising us with champagne, chocolates, and a beautifully handwritten note in our room. Every detail was thoughtful, even down to the “Do Not Disturb” tassel on the door. The poolside drinks were fantastic, and the whole vibe of the property made it feel like a hidden gem in the city. The service, the style, and the little touches truly set this place apart. We can’t wait to come back!

This spot is such a vibe! We came in town for a concert and let me just say that this stay was more than perfect! Amazing staff that brings such good energy to the atmosphere of the hotel. The pool area is where most of our time was spent, of course our plans were to go out and visit New Orleans! We canceled our reservations to a stellar restaurant, and decided to stay here and order from the bar. The burgers were amazingly cooked and seasoned. The rooms are just the right amount of cozy. We definitely enjoyed our stay, and are planning our next trip back!
