Our stay at Alder Hotel Uptown New Orleans was a complete disappointment. It has now been almost two months, and we never received our $100 deposit back. Our bank confirmed the transaction was a charge, not a hold, exactly as I saw on the payment terminal the night receptionist used. At this point, it genuinely feels like the hotel simply took our money. To make things worse, they don’t solve anything. We tried contacting the hotel several times and they provided zero real solutions. Their communication is unprofessional and unhelpful. The room wasn’t any better — the beds sit on metal sheet bases that make loud noises with every movement, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. And what’s even more disappointing: they delete negative Google reviews to maintain a good rating. That alone says a lot about how they choose to handle customer complaints instead of actually fixing the issues. Our trip to New Orleans was amazing until we arrived at this hotel. The lack of professionalism, the unresolved deposit issue, the uncomfortable room, and their practice of hiding negative reviews make this one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. If you're considering booking here, don’t. There are many far better options in New Orleans. We will make sure to tell anyone who asks to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Impeccable service and very comfortable! Marlene and Mr. Quest make me feel right at home always! Can’t get any more personable and professional then them. They’re my dynamic duo! This is the only hotel I stay at when I stay in NOLA!

Been here for my last three NOLA visits and each time we are here it just seems to feel more like home. The desk staff is and have always been professional, courteous, and personable all at the same time. The security staff are well groomed, helpful, and inspire confidence in their ability to take care of whatever may come their way. And thus visit the Mardi Gras trees are absolutely stunning.

I travel and work at Ochsner Baptist so the location is perfect. The rooms are nice though the showers are flat with the floor so they tend to leak water into the bathroom if you do not put a towel next to the shower door. I have no other complaints. The lobby and rooms are modern and clean, the staff is friendly especially the valets, beds are comfortable, air works, and its quiet. Can't ask for more for a solo business traveler.

Quick stay but great stay. Pros: Check in was easy. Room was very efficient and VERY clean. Great curtains to keep it dark. Right next door to the hospital. Cons: They still use bedskirts. The noise from the hallway can be a bit loud.

This was our 2nd time staying here. The first time was great no problems however the 2nd time there was a puddle in the bathroom as if the toilet was leaking. We informed management and they apologized, changed our room and gave us goodie bag. She was soo nice and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay again.

We were pleasantly impressed with the courteous, attentive and informative staff. The grounds were safely monitored by onsite professional security 24 hours a day. We always seen them inside, the exterior and throughout the park lot. The themed hotel was a taste of sheik, luxury and fine sprinkle of antiques. The housekeeping was precise, respectful and fast! We never ran out of towels or clean sheets! We had real plates, silverware and glasses in our King suite. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of drawers and closet space. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but it was just the look of the homes, as folks were outside walking dogs and going for jogs daily. A perk was that the train into town was close and parking was FREE!!! We drove so it was a plus. If we ever return to New Orleans. This is HANDS DOWN where we will stay!!

Such a great week at the Alder. Great location near Freret restaurants and in the center of uptown. From the moment I got there until I departed, everyone was friendly and helpful and made me feel at home. My room was very quiet and I slept through the night which never happens at a hotel. Everything you need in the room, tv, fridge, Keurig, microwave. Great view from my private balcony. The pool looked beautiful but did not have time to enjoy it. Will return to this hotel when I visit my daughter at holiday time.

I was booked through a phone representive through the hotel assuring that there was free breakfast included in my stay (which consisted of free coffee/tea) & my government rate discount would be applied for the 2 night stay which it didn't. So the total cost was $620.53. The pros: the customer service from front desk/security team! The free parking across from hotel...The cons: the price of stay, lies of free breakfast, and major upgraded needed for bathrooms and replacement of stained carpet in guest room. The shower water is barley warm and don't ask about the pressure...The laundry room soap dispenser steals your quarters...& TO mention in this establishment I was bitten twice by bed bugs...
