Hotel Tonnelle in the Garden District offers a stylish base for exploring New Orleans, known for its impeccable service and convenient location near the St. Charles streetcar. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and unique decor, but some have noted a lack of amenities like refrigerators and potential noise concerns.
Everyone was amazing! Shaunice and JaKeyra both handled our vehicle needs great. Both the ladies who checked us in and out were amazing. 10/10 experience. The only thing is I wish our room and a fridge.
Made a random decision to book here when I had an extra day on the front end of my vacation. Hotel Tonnelle has a great location on the corner of Jackson & St Charles and is right next to the St Charles street car stop. The staff was really wonderful: Keyanna & Lakellen were awesome at the front desk. I drove into town and my car was in great hands with JG, Shaunice & Diamond at the valet stand. Hoping I can come back to visit again soon!
Hotel Tonnelle is a total gem on St. Charles! The decor is absolutely stunning—modern, fresh, and perfectly inspired by the Garden District. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and well-designed with a lot of attention to detail. We loved the lobby bar for a nightcap, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It’s the perfect stylish home base for a New Orleans trip.
Stayed here during my trip to New Orleans and overall had a really good experience. It’s a cute boutique hotel with nice, clean rooms and a comfortable setup. The staff was very friendly, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy, which I always appreciate when traveling. I chose this location because it’s not too far from downtown/French Quarter. It’s about a 25-minute walk, which is doable, but realistically there were times I didn’t feel like walking that far. Ubers can get a bit pricey, so that’s something to keep in mind when booking. The only downside for me was that my room didn’t have a refrigerator, which I really needed — especially being in a foodie city and wanting to bring leftovers back. Didn’t get a chance to try the food on-site, but overall it’s a solid option if you’re looking for a nice boutique stay with friendly service.
My stay at the hotel was beyond perfect ! The check in experience was upmost hands down the best customer service experience I received in a long time . I truly want to thank Candy for going beyond expectations for me and my other half. Also the valet men and young lady were amazing as well . I will come back just because candy made it extra special.
We hosted our Revenue Kick Off event at this hotel. First, the service was very strong throughout our experience. From the staff that kept all our mailed materials to the check in process to the person who helped with our conference room and food. Everyone was very helpful. I personally had two issues in my room. One with the safe and one with the bathroom. Within minutes of calling the front desk an engineer was at my door to fix the problem(s). The food wasn’t spectacular but it was solid for what we ordered and they adjusted to a few last minute requests and dietary specifics. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Overall we had a great experience.
We stayed here and Loved it! Perfect location to catch some parades. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and we liked the decor. I read the reviews ahead of time and knew there would not be a frig in the room, so we brought an ice chest. They also have an ice machine. We will be back!
I did not personally stay there, so I cannot comment on the service. I was on a tour to view a room block for a conference. The hotel is rather small, but it possesses a great deal of character. It is quite charming and has been wonderfully renovated. I particularly enjoyed the lobby area; it is very pleasant.
We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Tonnelle during our wedding weekend. This is where my husband got ready with his groomsmen and spent the night before the wedding with his best man, and it was the perfect setup. They stayed in the Saint Charles Suite, which was absolutely beautiful — spacious, stylish, and featuring a stunning view of the city along with an amazing balcony. It created such a fun and memorable environment for the guys to relax and get ready together. Everything about the stay was comfortable and seamless, and we’re so glad Hotel Tonnelle was part of our wedding celebration. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great hotel experience in New Orleans!
I had a great stay at the hotel, the room is large and bed cosy. The shower and bathroom area is also large and the free amenities great. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is located right outside the streetcar so very useful for getting up or downtown. I would definitely stay again!
