Guests praise the unbeatable location just steps from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, noting excellent staff responsiveness. However, experiences vary widely; some praise spacious, well-equipped suites and friendly service, while others report issues with broken air conditioning, uncomfortable mattresses, aggressive timeshare sales pressure, and varying room cleanliness and quality.
Some rooms at this location are great. Some are terrible. We had a terrible room. No view. The ice in the refrigerator was bouncing everywhere. Old furniture inside. We were very disappointed. The folks working there were extra nice and helped us anyway they could. The location was outstanding. Bourbon Street and the French Quarter are less than a 5 minute walk. The people that we met were all nice and polite. There is a lot to do and we only did about half of it. We'll go back. I just hope we get a better room.
Great Stay , just 2 issues ! We had a really great stay at the Holiday Inn Resort in New Orleans. The location is hard to beat , it’s right next to Bourbon Street and within easy walking distance of the French Quarter, which made it perfect for experiencing Mardi Gras without worrying about transportation. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. We stayed in Room 712, which was very spacious and family-friendly. Although I had booked a king bed and received a queen instead, it worked out fine because the room included a large sofa bed that was perfect for kids. The suite-style layout had plenty of storage space, including multiple closets (a coat closet, shoe closet, and bathroom storage), which made unpacking and organizing easy. The living room and dining area both had TVs, and the large kitchen counter space made the room feel ideal for families who want to cook or entertain during their stay. A thoughtful touch was the hotel staff calling to check in and make sure we liked the room , great customer service. The RFID wristband room key was also very convenient since we didn’t have to carry traditional key cards. The hotel amenities were nice as well. There’s a terrace with a small pool that’s open to guests, and the valet service was excellent. We also appreciated being able to store our luggage in the cloakroom after checkout so we could explore the city a bit more. There were only two minor drawbacks. The room did not have blackout shades, so the morning sunlight naturally wakes you up. Also, the toilet in the bathroom flushed slowly and took time to refill, which could be improved. The bathroom itself, however, was a good size and otherwise comfortable. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay with friendly staff, spacious rooms, and an unbeatable location. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit New Orleans.
Stayed here through a timeshare from a family member. Overall it was a great experience I am taking a star off for a couple of minor things I would normally give 3 stars for these but I didnt ask for them to be corrected. First I dont think could be corrected but the beds here are horrible they might has well just been boards they were so hard only 6 inch mattresses on a box spring not comfortable at all after a long day of walking. The second was the AC being locked at no lower then 68 is really horrible and then the AC was making a loud clicking noise the whole time. Last the shower head isnt great it soaks you just to turn it on no way to avoid it and it has very limited control and is hard to shower with. The good things is the room was really well laid out everyone was super friendly and kind and it was a great trip
Really disappointed in the Holiday Inn. We arrived exhausted after traveling all day with a baby, when we checked in, we were ushered over to another desk to a man who tricked us into signing up for a walk through of the hotel in the hopes we would buy a timeshare SCAM! The sign up process took forever, our son needed to have a nap and they wouldn’t give us the keys for what felt like forever. On the day, we didn’t attend so they charged us $50 plus taxes. We stayed for 5 nights, only needing parking for two, they tried to charge us $50 a night for parking for all five nights. Drinks at the bar were ridiculously priced. The water from the Kitchen taps made us all sick, bottled water at the convenience store in the lobby was expensive for little bottles. Extra fee’s were applied for the hotel having washing machines etc. The only two good things about the place was the location and Mrs Sue helping us at departure and being kind to our son.
Hotel associates were fantastic! We had a blast in New Orleans for my birthday. Had a riverboat dinner with the Jazz band playing. Full bar and great view of the city skyline. The Mississippi bridge was beautiful. Went to some great restaurants. Hot Cajun, Hard Rock cafe, my favorite Bread n Butter.
This location was great center of everything! NOLA….You were great to us from the food, tours and the people Kevin , Vee and Savannah from front desk were amazing Donald you are definitely fantastic hospitality you treat us like family! Holiday inn resort definitely show us a great time! New Orleans you Didn’t disappoint us we definitely experience a lot! Until the next time ???
This was the first time we used our timeshare. We truly enjoyed our stay. The location was close to everything you want to see and do in NOLA. Everyone was kind and greeted us with a smile. The apartment was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We used the gym daily. The only complaint I have is that they only have two sets of washing/drying machines to service the whole building. During our stay, one was broken which led to people trying several times to get a load in. Other then that, we had a lovely stay.
This was our first time staying here. We did a timeshare exchange. The staff are excellent! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Maintenance responded quickly. The place is small but has plenty of amenities. We went to the dipping pool almost every day and it was big enough to do our exercises. Cool concept of having the exposed iron beams to create a pergola effect. Our room could have been brighter. I was working part time during our stay and I would have appreciated it if the lights were more powerful. The decor is all neutral and the couch is black, so not much for the eyes but comfortable. Appreciated having a full kitchen! Appreciated the free guest laundry. The bed was not uncomfortable but not the kind of bed that you want to linger in in the morning. And, the location is fabulous. It's a block away from Bourbon Street, if that's your thing, and it's on the trolly route. We found a nice little coffee shop and my husband got a haircut at a barbershop nearby. And despite being so close to the French Quarter, it was still quiet.
Perfect location, 1 block off of canal. Easy walk to Bourbon or Royal. St charles and canal street trolleys are both also a block away. Rooms were clean and quiet. Water was hot for showers. The kitchen was filled stocked with dishes (not that you should cook when visiting). So nice having our own coffee maker. Staff was helpful with recommendations to restaurants and activities! Pool is nice, but small. Was great for cooling down!
Location is amazing! One block off Canal St/Bourbon St. Was able to valet the car and walk everywhere and catch the street cars right down the block. The room was very nice/big, and mattress/pillows were very comfortable. Only down side was the pool was very small.
