The Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome receives generally positive reviews, particularly highlighting its convenient location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, concerns exist regarding potential bedbug infestations, noise levels, and inconsistent pricing practices. Several guests appreciate the hotel's amenities and proximity to attractions, while others experienced issues with service and unexpected fees.

Stayed in the Holiday Inn during Mardi Gras and really LOVED it. The pool is on the fourth floor along with the gym; both very nice along with the view. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Maybe 15 minute walk to Bourbon Street, but hit the parades on the way!

This was the first time in many years that I stayed at Holiday Inn, was really not my place of choice based on previous experiences and level of hotels. I think because this one is in downtown it is a bit of a higher standard. I was actually plesantly surprised by this Holiday Inn. Hotel is very well kept up, clean with very nice interior design. We stayed in room 1214. Bathrooms don't have a fan though and have sliding doors and only one set of towels per person, these things were not a big deal to us but it could be for others. Nice location about 4 blocks from Canal street. They have a restaurant for breakfast which is overall decent but pricey.

This was the absolute worst hotel stay experience I have ever had, and I’ve stayed in a lot of less than great hotels/motels and Holiday Inns. The room was dirty, they overcharge you for everything ($100 for parking) Our room was next to the elevator so it was noisy 24/7 making it hard to sleep. The pool was disgusting, cloudy and greenish. All of that would be tolerable if the staff had even the slightest bit of kindness or respect for their guests. The front desk representatives and the manager, Tamika, were so incredibly rude. We got 2 unwanted, non requested wake up calls at 3 and 4 am. Turns out they didn’t verify my contact information and had shared my booking information with the wrong phone number. Honestly would recommend booking anywhere else!!

Great location between the French Quarter and the Garden District and within walking distance of the WWII museum. Two Chicks Cafe is very close by for a great breakfast. The rooms were perfectly fine (except for the sliding door for the bathroom; not as much privacy). Rooms start on the 8th floor, which also has a ballroom. Others complained of noise, but all was quiet during the our weekend stay. You cannot access the room balcony; the door is screwed shut, but that didn’t bother us. What is annoying is the $11 nightly amenity fee. Just bogus. I didn’t ask for it to be waived, but maybe I should have. Still, the hotel was a good value in a good location and I never felt unsafe in the hotel or in the neighborhood.

I rarely do such a negative feedback for a place. The staff is overall good, the location and the room is good. I stop here : I don't like hidden fees, this place is a trap for hidden fees. I don't know if we got one bad employee or if this is an internal policy to try to overcharge as much as possible. Instead of using a third party to do the reservation online, as a business owner myself, I prefer to call to reserve directly with the staff so the business keeps more money. What a mistake here. Online, we had rooms at 74$+tx (which was surprisingly cheap for a 3 star downtown hotel), when I called the typical: nothing below 90$... I said: you know, online we see options at 74$, a room suddenly appeared available at 84$... Ok, I'll take it (anyway we want to encourage businesses). The person over the phone said: if you want to add 1.22$ per person, we can add you the breakfast and I said ok great. Now, the price when I recieved my confirmation was now 122$ for the night + hotel fees + taxes. Which at the end was 150ish$... Really far from the 74$+tx online, + the parking fees... When I tried to ask at the desk to clarify why all these fees were added (almost 40$ for two breakfast, without even mentioning the "Hotel fees") the person was pressing me to sign the contract instead of giving me 2-3 minutes to read it (with no one else waiting for the front desk)... Very disappointed with this way of charging multiple additional fees.

Location was convenient for the Saints game, but the cost was way too high for what we actually got. Service was very slow, fees were added at checkout that should have been disclosed upfront, and nothing was included in the base rate except the room itself. Parking is also double what you can pay down the street. Even if you stay here, don’t park here. Wish we had found a less expensive option with more included even if it meant a farther walk.

Check-in was smooth and the room was fine. Everything we needed was provided except bottled water, which was available downstairs. Since we only stayed one night and were out most of the time, this wasn’t a major issue. Unfortunately, our dining experience significantly impacted our stay. We were a family of six hoping to sit together, but we were split into two tables (2 and 4). We didn’t push back and tried to move forward. However, from the beginning, our server (with pinks in her hair) had an unwelcoming attitude. When my sister in law ordered salmon, the server reacted rudely to her pronunciation, which immediately made us uncomfortable. The food took a while to arrive—which we understood—but when it did, none of us enjoyed it. Since the food was already served and the server’s demeanor made us uncomfortable, we didn’t feel at ease asking for replacements or refunds. When we later gave honest feedback at checkout, the same server became defensive, repeatedly mentioning that there were cameras and implying that because we ate the food, our feedback wasn’t valid. Her reaction were defensive, offensive, felt unnecessary and confrontational. Defensive, offensive We were simply trying to share feedback, not cause trouble. They add a 30% tip automatically to a a group of 6+. Even though we were seated separately. I don’t think that big of a tip was necessary, especially for such a rude server! The situation escalated to the point where security was called, which left our entire family feeling humiliated and shaken—especially since we had a young child with us. Not to mention my mother in law had visited from abroad and we wanted to make it special for her! The following morning, my sister-in-law’s family went for breakfast (which was prepaid with their stay) and were again met with rude behavior by another server over a misunderstanding about breakfast tickets. This added to the overall negative experience. At checkout, we calmly shared our concerns with the front desk, with no ill intentions—just hoping to explain what happened. Sadly, the repeated lack of courtesy from the restaurant staff overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay. Overall, while the hotel itself was fine, the restaurant service greatly impacted our stay. In a city that welcomes so many visitors from around the world, we hoped for a more patient and hospitable experience.

Stayed here for 6 days and the location was very convenient! Easy walking distance to the Superdome and not too far at all from Canal Street and streetcar access. The room and amenities were good too! Gym was spacious and well maintained, while the pool was heated and had a great view of the city skyline. There were two main negatives of our stay. First, the walls seemed to be thin between rooms as we often could hear noise from other guests on either side. We could also occasionally hear noise from the outdoor pool area. Additionally, and this was the bigger issue, the 8th floor is where the hotel has an event space and there was a wedding reception happening on a Saturday night during our stay. While I get that New Orleans can be a party city and it was a weekend, the disruptions from this event at the hotel were awful. We were one floor up from where the event was and could hear loud music until 2 AM. It was so loud we had to call the front desk to get it turned down. Others on our floor were disrupted by the noise as well. If you stay at this hotel, I would recommend asking for a room on a higher floor (especially on a weekend if available) to avoid the noise of the 8th floor.

This is a great location if you’re going to a concert at the Smoothie King Center. We booked it for the Billie Eilish concert and it was within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

I went to New Orleans on October 23-26, 2025 to celebrate my birthday. On October 25, 2025 around 12am I woke up out of my sleep and noticed bites between my inner thighs and one under my butt cheek. I put alcohol on it thinking it came from a long night of walking on Bourbon Street. Well on October 26, 2025 around 2am I woke up itching really bad and needed to wrap up my hair. As I’m standing in the mirror I see bumps appear on my stomach. I called downstairs for assistance to come look at the room. Velma who allegedly is the night auditor told me maintenance was gone for the day. I asked if anybody was here to help me, she replied “I will send our Engineering guy up. ” Mr. Corey Cole came up to room 1532 and immediately found the bed bugs less than 5 minutes within inspecting the room. After Mr. Cole confirmed to Mrs. Velma there were bed bugs in the room she gave me another room, 1730. I explained how uncomfortable I was sleeping there and I would like to be placed at another hotel. She told me I am scheduled to check out in the morning and she doesn’t have the authority to buy another room at another hotel. Well, I accepted the room after a long argument because that was my only option. Right at check out time I found bed bugs in the second bed across from where I was sleeping and on the bath towel in the new room. Mrs. Velma told me Tamika Harris, the director, is scheduled to be here at the hotel at 9:30am. Of course, no Tamika at check out time. I’ve been calling and emailing no response from Tamika until 11/10/2025. I called the hotel at 8:41am and reached Tamika directly. She stated she is waiting for the accountant to come in at 9:30am and review the case. She mentioned she saw my pictures and videos that I reported to booking.com. She said she is not an exterminator and cannot confirm what “that is” , and also mentioned Mr. Cole was out of line for confirming it as bedbugs because he is not an exterminator. Here it is lunch time on 11/10/2025. I haven't received a call back so I called her again at 12:10pm Ashley the front Desk representative stated she was headed to a meeting and she will call me back. I received a call back at 12:44pm from Tamika stating “the third-party exterminator did not find any evidence of bed bugs, so they cannot refund me or do anything about this matter. ” I had to go to the doctor for this traumatic issue. I received 12-15 shots in each bump found visible on my body and has also been placed on night time medication. I have proof from the reviews that other customers have had this issue as well. Lastly, at check out time Sofia at the front desk thought it was funny and I told her this is not funny and is a serious matter. They need to close that place IMMEDIATELY!!!!
