Stayed for an overnight work trip. Super friendly and helpful staff was the highlight. Valet team were on their game. The bottom floor is very nicely laid out. The room was okay, really nice view of the New Orleans skyline. The bed...was like laying on a cushioned platform. Did not sleep well at all, made for a long next day. Bookended the stay with one more staff interaction at checkout and valet, different crews, same excellent service.

This is one of the most unprofessional and unacceptable hotel experiences I have ever had. I booked this hotel from February 3 to February 7 through Booking.com and paid over $1,000 in advance for the full stay. Due to unavoidable circumstances, I could not check in on February 3 and arrived the very next day, fully expecting to check in since the reservation was already paid in full. At the front desk, I was told that my booking “did not exist” and that it had been marked as a no-show. When I asked about the remaining three nights that were already paid for, I was simply told to contact Booking.com. There was no effort to help, no explanation, and no attempt to resolve the situation. Booking.com confirmed that the hotel had already received the payment and that the stay should have been honored. Despite this, the hotel still refused to let me check in and kept the money. I was forced to find another hotel at my own expense after traveling from outside the city. The staff was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no concern whatsoever. No manager stepped in, and no courtesy or accommodation was offered. I strongly advise others not to stay at this hotel. If you arrive even one day late, they will take your money and turn you away without hesitation. I wish I could give zero or negative stars.

Haven't stayed there in a long time but if you don't feel like dealing with the crowded Starbucks at Lakeside Mall, there's a hidden gem right inside the lobby, a Starbucks! The morning barista, Lesther, makes a great latte and the service is quick & friendly. Beats waiting in long line at Lakeside.

We visit my wife's family in New Orleans every year at Christmas, and we have always stayed at the Marriott Lakeway. We specifically request the same rooms on the 15th floor every year, and we requested them prior to our arrival again this year. Upon check-in, we were deeply disappointed to learn that the rooms had been given to other guests, and we were put on the 10th floor instead. Unfortunately, one of the major attractions of the hotel is the beautiful view over Lake Pontchartrain, and the view was completely obscured from the rooms we were given on the 10th floor. The following morning, we inquired whether anyone might be checking out on a higher floor during our week-long stay, and the front desk personnel responded in the negative. Fortunately, Kylie Hebert was at the front desk and stepped in to help us. Thanks to her, we were given the rooms on the 15th floor that we had requested originally many months prior. We are unsure why the front desk staff were unable to help us initially, but we are grateful that Kylie took the initiative to step in and find a solution. Kylie provided outstanding customer service, and she is the reason we enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

Great place to stay. Very clean, and the crawfish pasta in the concierge lounge was amazing. I also thought the valet was very good and speedy. I would like to see a second valet working during busy times, like 8:00 am. He was HUSTLING, but there was a long line of people waiting.

This is my go too when I’m staying in the area! I travel often for work, so it’s nice to stay somewhere comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Devin at the front desk always remembers me and welcomes me back. The guys in valet also remember me and are friendly as is all the staff! I’ll be back soon.

Good location by Lake, malls, restaurants just a few minutes of driving. Marriott members can get nice room upgrades with refrigerators and microwave in room. Vip lounge access with breakfast until 9 am. Wish it was 10am. All day snacks and beverages.

We had an excellent stay at the Marriott Metairie Lakeway, and it quickly became one of our favorite places to stay while working in the New Orleans/Metairie area. The location is incredibly convenient— near I-10, close to Lakeside Shopping Center, and just 9 miles from the airport and the French Quarter. It’s also far enough from the French Quarter to avoid the noise and crowds, which made it perfect for a peaceful and productive stay. Ron the valet and the Front Desk team were warm and welcoming, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Our King Room with a Partial Lake View was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. And with only a partial view we were still happy to catch a beautiful sunset and see people walking their dogs along Lake Pontchartrain. The room was exceptionally quiet and ideal for remote work, with a great desk setup, a comfortable chair, and plenty of well-placed outlets. The bed was plush and cozy, and we slept extremely well. We appreciated the small refrigerator to keep some fresh fruit protein drinks. The fitness center is clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything needed for a quick workout. It’s clear they take pride in keeping it sanitized and guest-ready. Dinner at Bistreaux Metairie was such a perk after a long day. The restaurant is convenient, relaxing, and offers a delicious New Orleans–inspired menu. We enjoyed the Wedge Salad, Fried Green Tomatoes with Shrimp Remoulade, Pan-Seared Crab Cakes, Andouille Crusted Redfish, Brownie à la Mode, and Peach Foster Bread Pudding—all prepared with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and homemade dressings. Breakfast was also great: the Greek Yogurt and Fresh Berry Parfait was refreshing and light, while the Pontchartrain Omelette with Cheese Grits was flavorful, hearty, and exactly what you want to start the day. This hotel is an excellent choice whether you’re traveling for business or looking for a comfortable, quiet stay near New Orleans. Note for Business Travelers: The hotel offers secure, reliable valet parking, fast complimentary WiFi, and an M Club Lounge with hot breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, and a business center. (It’s definitely worth the upgrade.) The property is quiet and makes Zoom calls or remote work easy. Bistreaux Metairie provides a quick, New Orleans–inspired menu that’s perfect before or after work. This is easily the best hotel in Metairie, LA and perfect for business travelers.

Wonderful hotel with amazing views of Lake Pontchartrain! Very clean rooms, friendly staff and nice M Lounge to get some work done in. I enjoy staying here because it is centrally located kind of between the airport and downtown. Lots of great restaurants nearby and I like that the Pontchartrain walking trail goes right by the hotel.

We booked two rooms a month in advance for a family trip with kids and elderly parents. After a long drive, we arrived exhausted at night, only to be told, “Sorry, your rooms were sold.” They shuffled us to a clearly lower-tier hotel. Not one dime in compensation. Not even a bottle of water. We dragged luggage, soothed crying kids, and wandered a strange city late at night. This wasn’t “overbooked”—this was blatant overselling and getting dumped. Will never book here again and strongly advise family to steer clear. Dumped in a Downgrade with Zero CompensationBurn this “hotel” from your search .Zero stars isn’t low enough.
