The Drury Plaza Hotel New Orleans consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its friendly and efficient staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. Several reviews highlight the hotel's helpfulness and overall positive experience.
Excellent hotel in the heart of it all! Loved the customer service here; every employee was kind, helpful & friendly. Special thanks to Bee at check in for being so kind, and to the two young women making cocktails at Kickback Hour: you two know your ways around drinks! Hotel is super clean, breakfast was fantastic, service is so, so efficient, and we love the location of the hotel----quiet & calm amidst all the rowdy fun that is New Orleans. Book this hotel today!
The hotel is pretty, breakfast was great, the staff were great and check in was fast and easy. But they did ask for more money for parking and a security deposit after everything was supposed to be included online. Of course the price for a very tiny room during Mardi Gras was more than tripled. The room was clean and everything worked but we didn't have a blanket. I went to the desk to get one and they were out. They did give us extra sheets. Thankfully I had a blanket in my car. Also parking is extra. But the absolute worst part was when we came back to get our car that night after walking many blocks with heavy bags of beads and our chairs our card to get to the elevators to the third floor parking garage didn't work. I asked the security guard about how yo get to the elevators. She said you cannot, you have to go through the parking garage where the cars go in. So me and my special needs daughter had to walk up three levels up hill in the parking garage. You would think after paying over $750. For one night and extra for parking you would be able to get to the elevators to reach your car. I appreciate the security but she could have let us in to walk down the lobby hall to the elevators after seeing us with all the bags and chairs. She could even have had another employee walk us down the hall if needed. I could understand if we were drunk and loud or something but it was only a mother and daughter not drunk that had a 6 hr drive home.
My son and I stayed at the Drury Hotel in the New Orleans Warehouse District from January 26 through January 30. I was extremely impressed with quality of this hotel. It is probably the best one I have ever stayed at. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. Whoever is doing the staff hiring at this hotel deserves a pat on the back. The hotel's location was pretty central to most attractions in the Warehouse District and the French Quarter. I loved that we were able to self-park in their on-property garage. The free breakfasts they offered were great as was the dinner meals they also provided. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be visiting New Orleans. They will not be disappointed.
This hotel is a older property, but well maintained and clean and comfortable. The garage is easy to get in and out. Staff was very friendly. Good location. If you aren't picky, you could make a meal out of the hot food served at the 5:30 kickback. We occasionally heard noise from neighbors, but that's probably not surprising in New Orleans on the weekend, and it never lasted long. We would stay again.
We’ve stayed here multiple times and it’s always our go-to hotel for trips to New Orleans. Spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and we love the kickback!! Very walkable to many great locations but also easy to navigate with cars/uber. Incredibly safe. We also used the self-serve laundry and it was so easy to use and convenient. Looking forward to our next stay at this location when we come back to New Orleans!
What can I say about the Drury Plaza Hotel that hasn’t already been said? ??? This hotel is one of a kind- from very large and spacious rooms to every amenity that you can imagine. We stayed here on the last leg of our vacation and this is arguably our favorite place. For the price, we are just in awe. You can tell that the amenities are indeed intentional and that customer experience is #1 on their list. Every single staff member greeted us with a smile and kind words. Shoutout to Daniel from breakfast and my girls Kayla and Belinda at the dinner service! I was ready to take them all home with us! What lovely people and environment. The general manager was also very lovely. Complimentary drinks, breakfast, dinner and snacks as well. Again, the only answer to the question of “Why is this place so dang good?!” must be that they truly care about their clientele - which is indeed so rare these days. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for our family! We will forever recommend this establishment and look forward to our return.
Staff exceptionally nice & helpful, especially Chris and Alecia at the front desk. They were willing to go out of their way to accommodate every need. Enjoyed both the delicious breakfasts and dinners included. Paid extra for parking, but worth the security. We also liked the use of card keys to use doors and elevators, which heightened feeling of safety. It is a very old historic building, but rooms very nice and comfortable, and a walkable area. Chris scheduled us a tour with VIP Tours, which was great. We will now seek out Drury hotels on our travels.
Great location for the price! Clean rooms, clean hotel, kind staff members who were very helpful and breakfast was very good in the morning. Rooftop hot tub was so cool! Architecture in the check in area was beautiful. The city gets you on the taxes tho... Be ready!
Location is not to far from the Saints Superdome. Everything was on spot. Staff members are amazing and helpful. It appears to be an older building. It's great. Wooden trim to and plenty of rooms. Hot breakfast with plenty of food choices. Bar and a small menu is available to order. 3 free drinks at 5:30 pm
I had never heard of the Drury Plaza Hotels prior to this stay. I ended up here by chance. I agreed to do a Holiday Inn vacation club timeshare presentation and the NOLA Drury Plaza was one of the options to stay in. I am so glad I did!! I said no to buying into the timeshare, but Drury Plaza Hotels has gained a lifetime customer. I will be looking for a Drury Plaza hotel for any future vacations!! The amenities and staff of this hotel were absolutely incredible. Everything was so well kept, super secure, great location, amazing customer service, all of the food and beverages were so good, and I literally felt like I was right at home. I cannot say enough great things. Everything was so clean! Every employee interaction was super positive and pleasant. There is a street car (public transpo) stop right outside of the building. Everything was exactly as described on the website (pool, hot tub, breakfast, dinner with 3 complimentary alcoholic beverages, popcorn in the evenings, etc.). The staff had great tips and recommendations. Definitely would stay here again and again and will be looking for Drury Hotels for all my future trips!!
